Another Anti-CAIR blogburst.

The truth of the founding of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) to support Islamist terrorists has been proven, over and over again. A sealed ruling of the Holy Land Foundation trial by Judge Jorge Solis has been unsealed and officially reveals what many already knew: CAIR was specifically created to support the terrorists of Hamas and advance the goals of the Muslim Brotherhood.

     Several years ago, CAIR all but admitted its connections to Islamist terror by refusing to defend itself in litigation CAIR initiated against Anti-CAIR.

     Dr. Daniel Pipes, Steven Emerson, Joe Kaufman, Dr. M. Zuhdi Jasser and investigative journalists David Gaubatz and Paul Sperry (co-authors, “Muslim Mafia”), among many others, have clearly shown how CAIR is actively working to subvert and destroy our country in the name of Islam.

     Despite years of investigation, incontrovertible facts, and CAIR's inability to defend itself in a lawsuit they initiated; CAIR still exists.

     Why? What is it about CAIR that has apparently prevented law enforcement superiors from allowing real investigations into CAIR’s activities?

This list is a work in progress. I welcome suggestions. Anyone who has more items to add to the list, post them in the comments.

The intent of the list is to illustrate the futility of the multicultural approach to Islam. Sharia law demands submission not only from Muslims, but from non-Muslims as well. This makes respectful coexistence nearly impossible with Muslims in Infidel lands. The examples below serve as reminder that submitting to one complaint or another only emboldens Muslims to seek to further their ultimate goal of establishing sharia.

The West needs to come to grips with this fact and start standing up for our God-given rights of free speech, free expression and freedom of religion, lest we surrender those rights to a theocratic movement bent on removing our Constitutional freedoms that we hold dear. In this case, our tolerance will lead to intolerance.

The next day, President Roosevelt addressed congress.

Yesterday, Dec. 7, 1941 - a date which will live in infamy - the United States

of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of

the Empire of Japan.

The United States was at peace with that nation and, at the solicitation of

Japan, was still in conversation with the government and its emperor looking

toward the maintenance of peace in the Pacific.

Indeed, one hour after Japanese air squadrons had commenced bombing in Oahu,

the Japanese ambassador to the United States and his colleagues delivered to

the Secretary of State a formal reply to a recent American message. While this

reply stated that it seemed useless to continue the existing diplomatic

negotiations, it contained no threat or hint of war or armed attack.

It will be recorded that the distance of Hawaii from Japan makes it obvious

that the attack was deliberately planned many days or even weeks ago. During

the intervening time, the Japanese government has deliberately sought to

deceive the United States by false statements and expressions of hope for

continued peace.

The attack yesterday on the Hawaiian islands has caused severe damage to

American naval and military forces. Very many American lives have been lost.

In addition, American ships have been reported torpedoed on the high seas

between San Francisco and Honolulu.

Yesterday, the Japanese government also launched an attack against Malaya.

Last night, Japanese forces attacked Hong Kong.

Last night, Japanese forces attacked Guam.

Last night, Japanese forces attacked the Philippine Islands.

Last night, the Japanese attacked Wake Island.

This morning, the Japanese attacked Midway Island.

Japan has, therefore, undertaken a surprise offensive extending throughout the

Pacific area. The facts of yesterday speak for themselves. The people of the

United States have already formed their opinions and well understand the

implications to the very life and safety of our nation.

As commander in chief of the Army and Navy, I have directed that all measures

be taken for our defense.

Always will we remember the character of the onslaught against us.

No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated invasion, the

American people in their righteous might will win through to absolute victory.

I believe I interpret the will of the Congress and of the people when I assert

that we will not only defend ourselves to the uttermost, but will make very

certain that this form of treachery shall never endanger us again.

Hostilities exist. There is no blinking at the fact that our people, our

territory and our interests are in grave danger.

With confidence in our armed forces - with the unbounding determination of our

people - we will gain the inevitable triumph - so help us God.

I ask that the Congress declare that since the unprovoked and dastardly attack

by Japan on Sunday, Dec. 7, a state of war has existed between the United

States and the Japanese empire.

Remembering John P O' Neill

John P O' Neill was born on February 6, 1952, in Atlantic City, New
Jersey. At an early age, he professed a desire to become an FBI agent. Staying true to his dream, O' Neill obtains a master's degree in forensics and starts out as a fingerprint clerk for the FBI. While in his first year of college, John marries his high school sweetheart, Christine O' Neill. By 1976 , O' Neill is a full fledged FBI agent.

After 15 years of experience, O' Neill is promoted to assistant special agent in charge of the Chicago field office. O' Neill established the Fugitive Task Force in an effort to increase communication skills between the FBI and local agencies.

In 1995 he returned to the Nation's capital and took charge of counter-terrorism. The World Trade Center had been bombed a few years before and the man behind the attack, Ramzi Yousef, was the most wanted terrorist of the time. O'Neill continued to gather information on Islamic terrorists and was noted for his communication skills.

""In a (11/96) speech at the Explosives Detection Symposium and Aviation Security
Technology Conference in New Jersey, O'Neill tells the audience that
"interesting times lie ahead" and that the main terrorist threat now
comes from transnational groups not backed by national governments. He
also warns, "We see the intent is for a large number of casualties."""

But his style and personal frustration with officials who didn't seem receptive to the idea of a growing threat of Islamic terror may have cost O' Neill in the eyes of some.

O'Neill continued to warn of growing threats of terrorism, saying that
modern groups are not supported by governments and that there are
terrorist cells operating within the United States. He also complained that Soviet war in Afghanistan had unwittingly produced a security threat, and cautioned that the millinium had left the agency with too few resources to cover the threats.

After the bombing of the USS Cole in Yemen, O' Neill has the forsight
to warn the agency of domestic threats and reccomends that New York be
named the lead office of the investigation. Three years before 9/11, O'
Neill was obsessed with Osama Bin Laden, three US embasssy's are
attacked in 1998

investigation was his wonderful ability to maintain communication with

Watch Frontline's "The Man Who Knew"

In July of 2001, O' Neill hears that the World Trade Center needs a new security chief and retires from the FBI, knowing full well what he was getting into;

""According to Chris Isham, O'Neill recognized the threat still posed to
the World Trade Center. "When he had first gotten the job at the World
Trade Center, he told me, 'I've got this great job. I'm head of
security at the World Trade Center.' And I joked with him and said,
'Well, that will be an easy job. They're not going to bomb that place
again.' And he said, 'Well actually -- he immediately came back and he
said, 'actually they've always wanted to finish that job. I think
they're going to try again.""

John P O' Neill was a visionary investigator who's dedication to the security of his fellow Americans cost him his life on September 11, 2001.

O'Neill is in his 34th floor office in the North Tower at 8:46 a.m.
when American Airlines Flight 11 crashes into it. Among others, O'Neill
calls Valerie James
once he is outside the building. He asks her what hit the building and
tells her, "Val, it's horrible. There are body parts everywhere." A few
seconds later he tells her, "Okay, I'll call you in a little bit."
O'Neill also sends a text message to Fran Townsend to report that he is okay.

In the minutes after the attack, O'Neill makes his way to the
command center that had been set up. There he sees FBI agent Wesley
Wong. Wong would tell Esquire magazine later, "He was in FBI
mode. Then he turned and kind of looked at me and went toward the
interior of the complex. From the time John walked away to the time the
building collapsed was certainly not more than a half hour or 20
minutes." Wong is the last person to see him alive.

A week after his body is found in the debris of the South Tower,
about a thousand mourners attend John O'Neill's service in Atlantic
City. Barry Mawn,
one of the speakers, tells the gathering that O'Neill didn't resign
from the FBI because of the briefcase incident. Mawn says that he felt
it was important to clear up some of the things people were saying
about O'Neill's departure. "He didn't run from a fight. He didn't
retire because this was a serious matter. He retired because
circumstances were right and it was a good job," Mawn tells FRONTLINE.

Following the service, John O'Neill is buried in the churchyard of
St. Nicholas of Tolentine Church, the church where he once served as an
altar boy.

For a long time here at GTB, we have focused on the tsunami of humanity that flows over our southern border from Mexico. Mexicans, by far, are the largest group of illegals inside our borders, and their open agenda of Reconquista has place tax-funded groups like La Raza, MEChA, and LULAC under the microscope. We've also covered the alarming news of the number of Middle Easterners who take full advantage of our unguarded borders to infiltrate our country, paying coyotes tens of thousands of dollars to allow them to blend in with herds of illegals crossing the border. Once inside the country, they disperse and fade away into our society.

Lately, focus has shifted from clandestine border crossings to blatant visa violations as the FBI hunted and captured 11 Egyptian men who entered the country under false pretenses. Such visa violations (including overstaying visa expirations) are not unusual for Middle Easterners, particularly from Pakistan, Yemen, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon, etc., but we Americans are rarely aware of them. Chechens are also making concerted efforts to get into the country illegally, despite the generous visa allowances for their country.

Today, I'd like to examine our broken immigration process in the light of the current war in the Middle East. To that end, I'd like you to reference this column by Investor's Business Daily.

Why Borders Matter

The war in Lebanon is an object lesson in border protection. Hezbollah secretly beefed up its forces there as Israel lowered its northern guard. Then Hezbollah attacked. We should take note.

Lest Americans think this is "Israel's war," it's worth repeating that it was Hezbollah that bombed the U.S. Embassy and Marine barracks in Lebanon, killing some 250 Americans. Hezbollah also kidnapped Americans Terry Anderson and Beirut CIA Station Chief William Buckley. Buckley died in captivity with nine others. Some of the masterminds are still at large.

Hezbollah (Party of Allah) is not just a faraway threat. Its leaders have infiltrated the U.S. by breaching our own porous borders.

No matter where you stand on the war in the Middle East, it is not safe or prudent for Americans to be vulnerable - on their own soil - to the volatile agenda of sworn enemies of the United States. Our lax immigration system lets potential enemies slip through all the time, and the recent nationwide scramble to find 11 supposedly harmless Egyptians proves that.

With Hezbollah trying to infiltrate America, and teams of suspicious young men entering the U.S. under false pretenses, it's time to put more teeth in the National Security Entry-Exit Registration System that requires young men from the Middle East who arrived after 9-11 to check in with immigration officials during their stays — not kill the program, as some in Washington have proposed.

The IBD article ends with a clear call to action. There is no reason why our national security ought to be compromised on the altar of political correctness. With enemies at our gates, we shouldn’t be forced to swing them wide to prove how kind and inclusive we are. There are already more than enough "tourists", "students", and "temporary residents" from the Middle East inside our borders with nefarious purposes; it's time we clamped down on their access to our people. While the demand for more teeth in the National Security Entry-Exit Registration System is appropriate, perhaps we also need to consider reviewing and revoking the visas of others who we know support Hezbollah, Hamas, or al Qaeda. Those people shouldn't be too hard to find, even for an inept ICE and INS - they are marching in the streets proclaiming their loyalty to our enemies on a daily basis!

Lieberman Down, Not Out

It's official, Ned Lamont has won the primary and will represent the Democratic party in the November election for Connecticut's Senate seat. Most pundits consider this election to be pivotal for several reasons, the greatest of which is Lamont is vehemently anti-war, and has recieved volumns of support from radical lefty (and anti-semitic) blog Daily Kos. Lieberman, a three-time incumbent is one of the few Democrats who supported the Iraq war continuously. Nearly all the Democrats favored the war on the outset by the way.

Lieberman stayed true to his promise to run as an independent if he lost the primary, announcing his independence during his concession speech. There are many different takes on this issue, some of them are obvious;

First, the Democratic party is cleansing itself of anyone who is in favor of the war in Iraq.
Second, this is a huge victory for the anti-war crowd and Daily Kos.
Third, the Dems are moving further to the left.

So, is this good news or bad news for the Republicans?

Some conservatives see this as a good thing, a strategic advantage for the right. As Democrats move further and further to the far left, moderates will flee to the Republicans. This may be true, but some states and congressional districs will vote Democrat regardless, and this means more extreme left Congressmen and women. Even if the Democrats remain a minority party , it's better if they stay within the realm of the mainstream and out of the parapolitical hocus pocus of the Daily Kos crowd.

The war in Iraq needs the support of our leaders if we are to attain anything that resembles victory, an infusion of far left congressmen would no doubt jeapordize not just the war itself but America's credabilty as a world power. A quick withdrawl will embolden the muhajideen, perhaps even creating a Muslim theocracy in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The Neville Chamberlin, Oslo accord style appeasement will mean more death for infidels in the long run and lead to a larger war in the future. The followers of Mohammed, (himself a warlord) will see withdrawl as a sign of weakness, confirmation that the West is corrupt and too cowardly to stand up for it's own principals.

So, conservatives shouldn't celebrate the implosion of the Democrats, it's just one step closer to the mainstreaming of the radical left.

There's also the anti-semitism, Chris Matthews called Lieberman a “schmaltzy ethnic guy”, and here are some examples of left wing bloggers talking about Lieberman (via Michelle Malkin);

• "Ned Lamont and his supporters need to [g]et real busy. Ned needs to beat Lieberman to a pulp in the debate and define what it means to be an AMerican who is NOT beholden to the Israeli Lobby" (by "rim," posted on Huffington Post, July 6, 2006).

• "Joe's on the Senate floor now and he's growing a beard. He has about a weeks growth on his face. . . . I hope he dyes his beard Blood red. It would be so appropriate" (by "ctkeith," posted on Daily Kos, July 11 and 12, 2005).

• On "Lieberman vs. Murtha": "as everybody knows, jews ONLY care about the welfare of other jews; thanks ever so much for reminding everyone of this most salient fact, so that we might better ignore all that jewish propaganda [by Lieberman] about participating in the civil rights movement of the 60s and so on" (by "tomjones," posted on Daily Kos, Dec. 7, 2005).

• "Good men, Daniel Webster and Faust would attest, sell their souls to the Devil. Is selling your soul to a god any worse? Leiberman cannot escape the religious bond he represents. Hell, his wife's name is Haggadah or Muffeletta or Diaspora or something you eat at Passover" (by "gerrylong," posted on the Huffington Post, July 8, 2006).

• "Joe Lieberman is a racist and a religious bigot" (by "greenskeeper," posted on Daily Kos, Dec. 7, 2005).

We've Been Warned, Again

There seems to be a "wait until they do something" strategy regarding the Feds attitude towards terrorism. Why not just deport anyone who is remotely connected to Hezbollah and other terrorist organizations? Why wait? If Homeland security knows there is an "already existing network", why not break it up now? Could it be this network has entered the country illegally?

A handful of money scams uncovered across the United States in recent years bearing Hezbollah's fingerprints have some experts worried that if orders were given to launch a terror attack against the U.S. the means are in place to do so.

Security officials worry that if Hezbollah does one day decide to strike, it can exploit an already-existing network in this country.

"You often see in these groups that people who deal in finances also have military backgrounds," Chris Hamilton, who was the FBI's unit chief for Palestinian investigations until last year, tells Newsweek. "The fact is, they have the ability [to attack] in the United States."

The performance made him both an Olympic hero and a lasting symbol of black pride. In 1976, President Gerald Ford awarded Owens the prestigious Medal of Freedom.

The Flat Earth Society, the moon landing conspiracy, now…the 9/11 conspiracy.

But the 9/11 conspiracy isn’t nearly as lonely as the two previously mentioned kook theories.
A recent national survey of 1,010 adults has discovered that 36% believe that the Federal Government assisted or let the events of that dreadful day occur.

I’ve read the theory’s online, and quickly dismissed them as left wing extremists who hate republicans so much that they would rather believe Bush killed all those people than accept the truth that America has enemies, lot’s of them.

I figured that the number of people who would believe such an outlandish claim was roughly equal to the number of communists in the US. But 36% is a huge number, only a 14 point spread from what is needed to win an election.

Most likely to believe such a theory are young people (18-24) at 57%, Blacks, 67%, those who describe themselves as very liberal, 54% and high school drop outs 55%. A full 16% think that the Feds planted explosives in in the World Trade Center to cause the buildings to collapse. Real X-Files stuff.

The article goes on to say that most of those who accept the conspiracy have come to this conclusion recently, and have tied the war in Iraq as the reason. These people believe their own government murdered 3000 Americans just so they could start a war in the Middle East.

This is an extreme position by any measure, and makes the Vince Foster conspiracy theory look like chicken feed. The liberals have really outdone themselves this time, a record high 34% are “personally more angry” than they used to be.

So why all the widespread hatred?

Sure the war is unpopular, as all wars will become after 3-4 years. But as far as wars go, the War on Terror has been one of America’s minor wars. The 3000 brave men and women who gave their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan are tragic, but the numbers are small compared to Vietnam (50,000), and the reasons for going into Iraq and Afghanistan are much more clear.

WMD’s or no WMD’s, Saddam was a brutal dictator who violated 19 UN resolutions, invaded Kuwait and Iran, committed the genocide of over 100,000 Kurds, and paid the families of suicide bombers, giving him a direct tie to terrorism.

Saddam certainly had WMD’s, and used them against the Kurds and the Iranians. One of Saddam’s Generals, Georges Sada has said that he witnessed the removal of chemical and bio weapons from Iraq during the invasion.

But the facts just get in the way of a good conspiracy.

When George Bush stood atop the rubble of the WTC, he emerged a hero, a man we could count on to do something about terrorism. This was bad news for people who already think Bush stole the first election from Al Gore, Bush's approval ratings soared and the far left were forced to choose between thier President and our enemies.

There's also the anti-semite angle, This poll clearly displaying the desire to blame Israel for 9/11. Here's the series of questions;

Do you think 9/11 may have been a conspiracy of Israel to gain an American support in their politics and financial gains?

...and risk a war with thier only ally, America?

This "poll" clearly tries to lead the respondent down a path, and it's clear as to which one. The millenium bomber tried to blow himself up before he was caught at the border, as did the shoe bomber. Gee... I guess Islam is exporting suicide bombers to the US.

Despite Chapel Hill, Seattle, and other cases of Muslim men acting out jihad against America and Canada, much of the nation is ignorant or in deep denial of the fact that the Muslim world is hell bent on the destruction of the West. Until that message is made clear, we are in great danger of losing the "PsyOps" war.

Paris Airports Shut Down Muslim Prayer Rooms

Apparently, France isn't as far gone as one might think.

Police have shut down makeshift Muslim prayer rooms at Paris' two main airports after they came under scrutiny following a far-right politician's allegations that Islamists were compromising security.

Yeah, you'd have to be some kind of fringe kook to think that.

Officials insist there was no threat. But the prayer sites set up by Muslim workers in cloak rooms, depots and other areas at Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports were quietly shuttered. There are three official prayer rooms still open at each airport, just as there are chapels for Christians and synagogues for Jews.

A book published in May by Philippe de Villiers, a presidential hopeful who opposes Muslim immigration, said clandestine prayer rooms honeycombed the corridors beneath airport runways and that Muslims were poised to put the premises under Islamic Sharia law.

Villiers claimed to base his book, "The Mosques of Roissy," on intelligence reports. While many saw the book as a publicity grab, it caused a stir and briefly climbed the best seller list.

The AP article goes on and on about how there's no threat, but there was no mention of the number of highjackings by Muslims as opposed to other groups.

WorldNetDaily breaks a story of human trafficing with inhumane results. I've said before that the border issue is one largely of safety. When immigrants are relying on a criminal element to transport them into this country, they're placing thier lives in the hands of an undesirable element that sees them as a commodity.

U.S. agents say they've broken up a multi-state prostitution ring operated by and for illegal aliens.

According to court documents, brothels located in Travis County, Texas, and Oklahoma City, used women from Mexico as well as Central and South American countries to sell sexual acts for fellow unlawful immigrants.

The alleged ringleader, 34-year-old Juan Balderas-Orosco, was ordered held without bail pending a hearing.

"The organization recruits females ... and arranges for them to be smuggled into the United States. The aliens are held in indentured servitude and forced into prostitution," an arrest affidavit said, according to the Austin American-Statesman.

I think it's safe to say this sort of activity is a lot less likely to happen among those processed legally.

Senate Saves Mt Soledad

With a speed and decisiveness that surprised some, the Senate on Tuesday approved a plan to transfer the land beneath the Mount Soledad war memorial to federal control in an effort to avoid a court-ordered removal of the cross that stands there.

The Senate’s unanimous vote sent the cross-transfer plan to President Bush for his expected signature. It creates what some consider an entirely new dynamic in the 17-year effort to save the cross, but which others say is a hopeless attempt to preserve a symbol on city land that courts have said unconstitutionally favors one religion over others.

“Obviously we’re delighted,” said Charles LiMandri, an attorney advising a group of Soledad cross supporters. “I think even the more liberal side of the Democratic party has to recognize that there is widespread, grassroots support for preserving veterans memorials in general, and the Soledad cross in particular.”

It looks like the battle that should've never started has finally ended.

Marine Names Murtha in Defamation Suit
Congressman Discussed Killings Involving Serviceman's Squad in Haditha, Iraq

Attorneys for Frank D. Wuterich, 26, argue in court papers that Murtha tarnished the Marine's reputation by telling news organizations in May that the Marine unit cracked after a roadside bomb killed one of its members and that the troops "killed innocent civilians in cold blood." Murtha also said repeatedly that the incident was covered up.

The suit could have interesting legal ramifications because Wuterich and the other members of his squad have not been charged and have not received any official investigative documentation about the Nov. 19 incident.

Mel Gibson has apologized for his comments made while being arrested for drunk driving.

""There is no excuse, nor should there be any tolerance, for anyone who thinks or expresses any kind of Anti-Semitic remark. I want to apologize specifically to everyone in the Jewish community for the vitriolic and harmful words that I said to a law enforcement officer the night I was arrested on a DUI charge.

I am a public person, and when I say something, either articulated and thought out, or blurted out in a moment of insanity, my words carry weight in the public arena. As a result, I must assume personal responsibility for my words and apologize directly to those who have been hurt and offended by those words.

The tenets of what I profess to believe necessitate that I exercise charity and tolerance as a way of life. Every human being is God’s child, and if I wish to honor my God I have to honor his children. But please know from my heart that I am not an anti-Semite. I am not a bigot. Hatred of any kind goes against my faith.

I’m not just asking for forgiveness. I would like to take it one step further, and meet with leaders in the Jewish community, with whom I can have a one on one discussion to discern the appropriate path for healing.

I have begun an ongoing program of recovery and what I am now realizing is that I cannot do it alone. I am in the process of understanding where those vicious words came from during that drunken display, and I am asking the Jewish community, whom I have personally offended, to help me on my journey through recovery. Again, I am reaching out to the Jewish community for its help. I know there will be many in that community who will want nothing to do with me, and that would be understandable. But I pray that that door is not forever closed.

Video tapes of Anjem Chandry Al-Muhajiroun contradicting himself, telling the West that 9/11 was not Islamic and then praising the "Magnificent 19" in Arab media. Children's cartoons showing Ariel Sharon drinking "Dra-Cola" (Arab blood), and dozens of clips of children calling for the death of Jews and other infidels.

Soldier Ride

On a lonely stretch of highway 371, my drive through Anza CA., was disrupted to a slow crawl. Up ahead I could see a few patrol car with flashing lights. "Uh oh, I though, it's a major wreck, maybe a fatality, and in this area diverting traffic can mean a 50 mile detour. But when the U Haul trucks pulled of the road, so did the patrol cars and as traffic flowed past I realized something special was going on. I snapped a pic with my cell phone to commerate the event.

Soldier Ride is "a cross-country cycling event to aid in the rehabilitation of the brave men and women who return home with injuries incurred in the current military conflicts abroad. Participation in our cycling events provides these wounded warriors a foundation for the development of a positive self-image and outlook on life, which speeds the rehabilitation and recovery process."

Cpl. Kevin Blanchard is a 23 year old retired Marine who lost his left leg and suffered severe wounds to his right leg in an IED explosion while serving in Iraq. Recently retired from the military, Kevin resides in Arlington, Virginia and will be pursuing a business degree at George Cpl. Kevin Blanchard Washington University this fall. Kevin joined us on the ride from Little Rock to Branson, his second cycling trip with Soldier Ride. "I am very impressed with Kevin's progress," said Steve Nardizzi, Executive Director of Soldier Ride. When Kevin first joined Soldier Ride for a cycling clinic in Florida this winter, his right leg wasn't strong enough for him to use a traditional bicycle. He used a handcycle, a three wheeled bicycle that you pedal with your hands. "It's a testament to Kevin's courage and determination that he was able to transition so quickly to using a traditional bicycle," Nardizzi said. "He was even able to tackle the tough hills through the Ozarks." Kevin attributes his recovery to the excellent medical care he received at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and his participation in rehabilitative events like Soldier Ride. When asked about participating in Soldier Ride again, Kevin replied "I'm hooked ... I'll be doing it as long as you guys do it."

The North American Union, SPP, and NASCO: Erasing America’s Borders

Our government has undertaken some monumental legislation that fully impacts the American way of life, our freedom, and our sovereignty. The purpose of such legislation is to homogenize Canada, Mexico, and the United States into a North American Union - and we're all going to sleep through it.

Have you heard of a little-known program called the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America? This tri-lateral partnership was signed by President Bush last year without Congressional oversight or public approval. Opponents of the SPP have called it NAFTA on steroids - and we all know how disastrous NAFTA has been for everyone except Mexico. It also appears to be modeled on the ineffective and highly unpopular European Union (unpopular with the people, that is).

I went to the website, www.spp.gov, to begin my research. There are, indeed, no boundaries between Mexico, Canada, and the U.S. when it comes to the cooperation of financial, trade, and foreign affair departments. Though some of the PR language on the website sounds fairly benign, the commissions are picking up momentum. And you know what happens when bureaucrats start grasping at influence and power! Except that now we don't have to just worry about our own greedy bureaucrats - but Canada's and Mexico's too.

This is not some weird and obscure conspiracy website, it is our government's plan to literally give away or sell our national sovereignty. What is most galling is that we will share responsibility for security across North America. It is very conceivable that we could see our troops deployed to secure the southern border of Mexico. Yes, you read that right - not OUR unsecured warzone of a southern border - but Mexico's border with Belize and Guatemala. That is the conclusion of an investigative report done by Lou Dobbs on CNN:

President George W. Bush, President Vicente Fox of Mexico, and former Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin agreed in March 2005 to create this union by executive regulations and agreements rather than by treaty to bypass Congress. Twenty working groups were formed and are well on their way to establishing a super-government for North America that will not be bound by our Constitution. The web site for this new bureaucracy—located at www.spp.gov—provides a look at their plans and accomplishments thus far. The plan is to have this arrangement implemented by 2010.

Behind its innocuous title, the “Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America,” the United States will surrender its Constitution. According to Jerome R. Corsi, an author and political commentator, our nation-state prerogatives would be superseded by the authority of a North American court and parliamentary body and our dollar would become the “Amero.”

Possibly the strongest leg of the SPP is NASCO - North America's SuperCorridor Coalition - otherwise known as the NAFTA Superhighway. Airily dismissed by some public officials as internet rumors and hype and completely unaffordable, NASCO has quietly been amassing funding and already begun preliminary construction in Texas.

...already underway is the plan for a NAFTA Superhighway: 1,200 feet wide, stretching from Lazaro Cardenas on the west coast of Mexico, entering the United States at Laredo, Texas, and continuing straight north to Winnipeg, Canada, with another route to Kansas City thence north easterly to Detroit and Montreal.

Containerized goods from Asia will be offloaded onto Mexican trucks, with Mexican drivers, and distributed throughout the economic system. Go to www.nascocorridor.com to view the plan and progress. There will be no internal boundaries to restrict the flow of people, goods or services.

In fact, the first customs stop on the Superhighway will be in the heart of America - Kansas City! Along the way, primary U.S. labor unions will be by-passed in favor of Mexican labor, including the Longshoremen’s Union, the railroad United Transportation Union, and the Teamsters.

How will such a massive flow of goods and foreign traffic be monitored? According to author Jerome Corsi,

"Across the NAFTA Super-Highways will flow millions more Mexicans, now armed with North American border passes and biometric identification, as defined by the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America working groups organized within the Department of Commerce."

Similar toll systems snaking their way from the southern and northern borders cutting through major American cities will force American citizens to submit to having RFID enabled identification cards which contain an ever-increasing array of information about their personal lives.

Illegal aliens with cloned RFID transponders will enjoy streamlined access to the US while Americans labor under the financial burden of tolls that go directly to foreign corporations and restrictions that take the right of free travel out of their hands. This and more is occurring without Congressional oversight, but is naturally funded with our state and federal tax dollars.

But our public officials are saying this could never happen, if only because it's completely unaffordable! Not so, since foreign investment will cover any gaps that taxing the American people leaves. Additionally, the Bush administration has embarked on a policy of selling off key US infrastructure to the highest bidder - in most cases foreign owned corporations.

[K]ey players, including the investment bankers and the worldwide capital investment funds, have a plan to address these fiscal shortcomings with their own resources. On April 30, 1992, President George H.W. Bush signed Executive Order No. 12803 on infrastructure privatization, a move that cleared the way for private capital to invest in U.S. infrastructure projects, including highways.

For instance, the Indiana Toll Road, Virginia's Pocahontas Parkway, a Texas toll road from Austin to Sequin and The Chicago Skyway have all been sold or leased for 99 years to foreign companies who will all enjoy billions in profits from American citizens forced to pay the tolls. And now the New Jersey Turnpike and the Ohio Turnpike are also under the hammer with foreign interests at the forefront of the negotiations.

An earlier Corsi article cites government websites which carry full planning details of the Super Highway. Its construction has already begun in Texas with no congressional oversight whatsoever. The Trans-Texas Corridor is being overseen by The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and the contract is owned by the Cintra corporation which in turn is owned by the King of Spain Juan Carlos. The project is being financed by the implementation of a toll that will be collected by means of GPS tracking devices installed in all vehicles and also envelops many connecting roads to the highway. Watson further adds this dire prediction, "To even be allowed to use major roads and highways, US citizens will be subject to a criminal background check and the government will have the ability to pinpoint their particular RFID signal and remotely block it from central computer mainframes - effectively abolishing freedom of mobility in America."

President Ronald Reagan once said, “A nation without borders is not a nation.” While we’ve been looking elsewhere, our own government has implemented a comprehensive plan to erase our borders with Canada and Mexico. The NAFTA Superhighway will allow vehicles, people and goods to travel from Mexico, into the American heartland, and up to Canada with little impediment, making America's borders obsolete. Coupled with Bush's blanket amnesty program, the new North American Union and the NAFTA Superhighway (NASCO) will fully expedite the wholesale dismantling of American sovereignty. It would seem that the while the rest of the world is already lining up to get their piece of the American pie, Americans will be the last to know. It is happening quietly and behind our backs, while our attention is fully engaged by the War on Terror, the upcoming elections, and our personal lives.

The Herald Sun has observed and photographed Hizbollah using civilian areas as cover.

The images, obtained exclusively by the Sunday Herald Sun, show Hezbollah using high-density residential areas as launch pads for rockets and heavy-calibre weapons.

Dressed in civilian clothing so they can quickly disappear, the militants carrying automatic assault rifles and ride in on trucks mounted with cannon.

The photographs, from the Christian area of Wadi Chahrour in the east of Beirut, were taken by a visiting journalist and smuggled out by a friend.

To those of us who've studied jihad even a little,this is no surprize. because the concept of civilians doesn't exist. Those who are shocked by Muslim terrorists blowing up women and children and laying siege to schools or theaters do not understand jihad. The Religion of Peace will lay waste to your ideals of desency, and the Geneva Convention whilst claiming the infidels are doing the same. Strategy Page adds this;

Israeli intelligence agents in Lebanon are getting more good tips on Hizbollah activity, especially within Christian areas. The Lebanese Christians know they are considered eventual targets (as infidels) of Hizbollah, and have noted Hizbollah men joking about getting the "Jews to do our work for us" (killing Lebanese Christians.)

The Melbourne man who smuggled the shots out of Beirut and did not wish to be named said he was less than 400m from the block when it was obliterated.

"Hezbollah came in to launch their rockets, then within minutes the area was blasted by Israeli jets," he said.

The release of the images comes as Hezbollah faces criticism for allegedly using innocent civilians as "human shields".

Mr Egeland blasted Hezbollah as "cowards" for operating among civilians.

"When I was in Lebanon, in the Hezbollah heartland, I said Hezbollah must stop this cowardly blending in among women and children," he said.

Here's a small sample of Linknzona's great piece on the dangers of PC.

PC is the enemy of freedom and democracy and equality and truth and reason. If we are to preserve these things we must know PC and fight it.

1) PC people most often lack faith. They lack faith in God, human nature, democracy, America, their family and friends, and themselves. Why are the radical liberals so full of hate? Because they recognize that people with faith are somehow better, happier, devoted to higher purposes, and thus, more honest and less selfish than what they see inside themselves. Conservatives dream of the future and making it better, liberals hate them for it.

2) PC liberals are noted for their guilt arising from what they see as unearned privileges and this leads to an inner lack of self esteem. This, in turn, leads to the belief that things are bad because of us, sometimes referred to as “the Blame America First Crowd.” So, liberals feel very good when they right a perceived wrong by tearing down the successful, the happy, the decent, the faithful, and the powerful to benefit the “victims” they profess to help. If the “victims” become more dependent on the liberals, so much the better, liberals need dependent groups of “victims’ to feed big government. These “dependents” vote, and they vote for those who call them victims.

3) Undoubtedly the greatest evil of PC is that it robs our children of their hope. Without hope, self improvement is all but impossible, despair and hatred often result. How do they accomplish this great evil? They tell certain children (minorities, female, etc.) that they are victims of racism/sexism/etc. and thus, they are doomed to misery and failure. Remember, PC is based on not criticizing victims and punishing those who do.

4) PC people attack you rather than your argument. Discussion soon degenerates to PC people calling you names and you denying that you are racist, sexist, uncaring,… and reasonable, truth-based discussions are impossible. A big part of this is guilt by association. You are white, and thus, a racist. You are a Republican, and thus, don’t care about poor people, you are a man and that’s what all men said before women started getting equality, and on and on …

5) PC people have little sense of humor, are often angry, and take offense easily. Offense often comes from holier than thou superiority which also brings incredible levels of intolerance. Moreover, in the PC mind, those that disagree are wrong and evil.

6) PC people believe in big government with its ability to censure those that would criticize the “victims”, or otherwise disagree. Thus, government itself is a tool of PC to crush and eliminate its enemies.

7) PC people have rigid double standards. For example, if you are a liberal and PC, you can make racial and gender comments and judgments with immunity while the same things said or done by a conservative would mean the end of everything for that person.

The Border, Drugs, And Violence

Strategy Page tells us about the growing problem of violence on the border.

Drug violence has harmed the city of Nuevo Laredo. Long
known as an up and coming Mexican "port city," and perhaps infamous as a
party town (with its prostitute district, Boys Town), the rampant
drug-related violence has closed a number of Mexican businesses in Nuevo
Laredo and sent the economy into a tailspin. At least 40 Nuevo Laredo
companies have shut down due to the violence. Many of the firms have moved
across the border to Laredo, Texas -- where the cops are clean and the
streets are comparatively safe. The breakdown in law and order in
Mexican border towns is creating a warlike atmosphere, as gunmen openly move
about, and open fire in the streets.

Some border governors are demanding help from the army, to man
checkpoints and help control the movements of heavily armed groups of drug gang
members. The army already supplies troops to accompany federal agents
making arrests or conducting raids.

A Texas sheriff told a government committee looking into
border security issues that "border violence" (ie, drug-related
violence along the Texas-Mexican border) is a threat to Texas Zapata County
Sheriff Sigifredo Gonzales said that the weapons used by Texas law
enforcement agencies are "water guns" in comparison to the firepower
possessed by narco-trafficantes. Texas is trying to funnel more security money
to counties along the border.

Mad To The Max

I was going to ignore the Mel Gibson drunk driving episode, he's not a Kennedy, so he'll probably have to at least serve community service. Besides, lately his movies have been some of my favorites. But Gibson's arrest has led to a disturbing revelation.

TMZ has learned that Mel Gibson went on a rampage when he was arrested Friday on suspicion of drunk driving, hurling religious epithets. TMZ has also learned that the Los Angeles County Sheriff's department had the initial report doctored to keep the real story under wraps

According to the report, Gibson became agitated after he was stopped on Pacific Coast Highway and told he was to be detained for drunk driving Friday morning in Malibu. The actor began swearing uncontrollably. Gibson repeatedly said, "My life is f****d."

It gets worse...

The report says Gibson then launched into a barrage of anti-Semitic statements: "F*****g Jews... The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world." Gibson then asked the deputy, "Are you a Jew?"

Jesus was a Jew Mel...

A law enforcement source says Gibson then noticed another female sergeant and yelled, "What do you think you're looking at, sugar tits?"

She was looking at the star of What Women Want, I guess you couldn't read her mind, eh Mel? ...and now the cover-up...

Deputy Mee then wrote an eight-page report detailing Gibson's rampage and comments. Sources say the sergeant on duty felt it was too "inflammatory." A lieutenant and captain then got involved and calls were made to Sheriff's headquarters. Sources say Mee was told Gibson's comments would incite a lot of "Jewish hatred," that the situation in Israel was "way too inflammatory." It was mentioned several times that Gibson, who wrote, directed, and produced 2004's "The Passion of the Christ," had incited "anti-Jewish sentiment" and "For a drunk driving arrest, is this really worth all that?"

People do stupid things when they are drunk, but if you reas the entire article, he was way over the top by any standards. What a horrible disappointment. How many peopple subscribe to this idiotic Zionist conspiracy nonsense?

I hope Mel apologizes publicly , and soon! In regards to the cover-up, I can understand the reasoning, but in the long run, the truth will help Mel more than a lie.

This time it's in Seattle,

Six people were shot - one fatally - this afternoon at the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle by a man who told a witness he was upset about "what was going on in Israel."

Police spokesman Rich Pruitt said there was one shooter, who was apprehended without incident outside the Jewish Federation building at the corner of Third Avenue and Virginia Street.

"We believe it's a lone individual acting out his antagonism," said David Gomez, who heads the FBI's counterterrorism efforts in Seattle.

Antagonism=Jihad.
The shooter calls himself an American Muslim. "He said 'I am a Muslim American, angry at Israel,' before opening fire on everyone," says a witness.

There was the MUslim man who shot several people on the Observation Deck of the Empire State Building, back in the early 1990s, found with a note in his pocket denouncing Jews...There was...there was....there was...
But CAIR is keeping careful track of all the hate crimes against Muslims. Keeping careful track of those storekeepers setting fire to their own grocery stores, and of all the others who have been non-existent victims of non-existent hate crimes.
Oh, there have been hate crimes connected to Islam in America all right. But not because Muslims were the victims. ""

Seek Help, Pat

Buchanon's at it again. It's seems like it was only a week ago I was writing about Pat's unhealthy attitude towards jews, and as his former boss Ronald Reagon would say, "there you go again...". Buchanon's latest disasterpiece is entitled "Israel's Vietnam Syndrome".

The Vietnam comparison is so far off the mark it's seems indicative of his irrationality on this subject. Israel is fighting for it's right to exist as a nation, and in the long run, it's existance as a people. The war in Vietnam wasn't a direct threat to the United States. To make matters worse, The Uber Dhimmi's language is loaded with terms generally reserved for Despots.

Buchanon refers to White House policy as "Bush's democracy crusade" knowing full well the implications of the word crusade in the Muslim world. He goes on to say "Israel needs more time to attain its strategic goal: Cleanse Lebanon". Crusade?, Cleanse? Who's side are you on Pat? Hezbollah has fired 1,500 rockets into Israel, yet Buchanon bemoans " Israel's shock-and-awe campaign, the humanitarian disaster of some 800,000 refugees could produce a political disaster" I suppose Israel is expected to run a Humanitarian war? How do you do that?

Never is heard an encouraging word from Pat, who claims, "For Israel, the days of hope and glory are history." and this is why he wants the US to push for a cease fire. It must give a devoted anti-semite an ulcer to have to witness a soveriegn Jewish state defending itself so well.

Buchanon's specious desire for Israel to negotiate for peace is easily disposed of by Mark Evans

"What Buchanan, and most of the left-leaning world press seem ignorant of is the fact that Israeli blood is paying for American and Western freedom, right now, on the ground, in the real world.

You see, Pat, in the real world, you cannot negotiate with terrorists."

Buchanon never mentions jihad, sharia, taqiyaa, kitman, or anything that might shed a little light on the problems that face Israel, America, and all infidels, even Pat.

So I say, seek help, Pat.

Although Buchanon claims to be an isolationist, even a brief bit of reasearch reveals Pat's motive.

In a 1977 column, Buchanan wrote,

"Though Hitler was indeed racist and anti-Semitic to the core, a man who without compunction could commit murder and genocide, he was also an individual of great courage, a soldier's soldier in the Great War, a political organizer of the first rank, a leader steeped in the history of Europe, who possessed oratorical powers that could awe even those who despised him...Hitler's success was not based on his extraordinary gifts alone. His genius was an intuitive sense of the mushiness, the character flaws, the weakness masquerading as morality that was in the hearts of the statesmen who stood in his path."

Hitler a genius? Pat doesn't stop there, He was the principal force encouraging Reagan to visit Bitberg, comparing fallen German soldiers to Holocaust victums. Being an isolationist just isn't good enough reason to side with terrorists, It was Hezbollah, after all who killed the 200 US Marines in Lebanon. But I think this is more than just Pat's inability to recognize the jihad against infidels. Buchanon is an embarrasment to right. His views belong on Daily Kos, not WND. He needs to be written off as an anti-Semite quack along with his Muslim friends, the far left, and anyone else who finds comfort in the reasoning behind terrorism.

Joeseph Farah of WND compares Buchanon to Kofi Anon;

""I hope Pat Buchanan and Kofi Annan are feeling good about themselves today.
They agree with each other on what needs to be done to resolve the Middle East conflict. For whatever reasons, they fail to grasp the root cause of the Arab-Israeli struggle – that Hezbollah, Hamas and much of the Arab and Muslim world want more than anything else in the world to destroy the Jewish state.""

Buchanon seems to think that if it weren't for the Jews, all would be right in the Middle East, sound familiar?

Such a policy violates international law and comports neither with our values nor our interests. It is un-American and un-Christian""

Hezbollah is anti-American and anti Christian, Israel isn't. To state otherwise helps feed the hatred that sends young men to suicide bombings. They are terrorists, not "gunmen". I'm beginning to think Pat understands Hezbollah all too well, he just agrees with them.

WTC Movie; Stone Gets it Right

The early reviews are in, Oliver Stone's new movie, World Trade Center is getting heaps of praise.Michelle Malkin has a nice round up. There was plenty of concern that Stone, the director of the conspiracy film, JFK, would politicize WTC. But that is far from the case, Cal Thomas and National Review are giving WTC rave reviews. I'm excited about the prospect of seeing this movie on August 9th.

Victory for Mt Soledad Cross

The House voted by an overwhelming majority for a bill that seeks to acquire the land where Mt. Soledad Cross stands and keep the war memorial in place. The final vote was 349 to 74. All 74 nay votes were from democrats. The bill will now go to the Senate and will be introduced by Rep. Jeff Sessions.

While the current court cases trying to bring the cross down will continue, from my understanding this legislation could make them moot. The current cases are being argued on the state constitution and if the federal government steps in and acquires the land it would override any verdict on the current argument. Of course we expect this isn’t near the end of the road. I’m sure the ACLU will file a suit to challenge the constitutionality of the legislation if it passes.

As the FBI digs deeper into the world of Islamic extremist groups in the United States, it has encountered a growing number of them operating in rural areas. Jamaat ul Fuqra is a group that began in Pakistan, where most members still reside, but has spread to North America over the last two decades. Many members have been busted for various crimes, usually ones related to fraud and abuse of social welfare programs.

The Muslims of America organization recruits in prisons, and has already produced a number of Islamic terrorists. What worries the FBI is the many more members who talk-the-talk, but have not yet moved to the walk-the-walk phase yet. Even if these groups are not actively carrying out terrorist acts, their preaching and everyday conversations indicate they would provide support services for any "holy warriors" that came knocking.

These groups have survived because they have learned how to work the system, including the FBI, and whatever counter-terrorism mojo that gets thrown at them. A major part of their defenses is their insularity, even from other Moslems. In fact, Jamaat ul Fuqra considers less conservative Moslems as heretics. Many of the Fuqra folks prefer to live out in the country, and create as much isolation for themselves as possible. Finding out what's going on in these groups is much more difficult than with people in the general Moslem population. While most Moslem-Americans are loyal citizens, and willing to send in tips about possible terrorist groups, outfits like Jamaat ul Fuqra just don't do that sort of thing, and react violently if they find any of their members doing so.

On the plus side, many of these extremist or conservative Moslem groups know, or suspect, that they are being watched. Any move to carry out a terrorist attack would bring the law down on them and, their families. So far, the only terrorist action out of these groups have been false starts or suspicious, not indictable, activity. But the potential is there, and it's scary.

Gates of Vienna has reported on Jamaat-ul-Fuqra in California and Virginia

Jamaat ul-Fuqra is an Islamic sect that seeks to purify Islam through violence. Fuqra is led by Pakistani cleric Shaykh Mubarik Ali Gilani, who established the organization in the early 1980s. Gilani now resides in Pakistan, but most Fuqra cells are located in North America and the Caribbean. Fuqra members have purchased isolated rural compounds in North America to live communally, practice their faith, and insulate themselves from Western culture.

Jamaat ul-Furqua translates to "community of the impoverished". It's philosophy of "purification through violence" should designate this group as a cult. But the DOS website seems to take a "let's wait until they kill somebody" approach.

Question: The group headed by Shaykh Gilani used to be designated by the State Department as a terrorist group but it was taken off the list. Why?

Answer: Jamaat ul-Fuqra has never been designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization. It was included in several recent annual terrorism reports under "other terrorist groups," i.e., groups that had carried out acts of terrorism but that were not formally designated by the Secretary of State. However, because of the group's inactivity during 2000, it was not included in the most recent terrorism report covering that calendar year.

Recent anti-terrorist efforts have gone well in Florida and Toronto, let's hope Jamaat ul-Fuqra isn't ignored due to "recent inactivity". The question is, why let groups like this flourish here in the US?

A Clarification on my Position on Immigration

In talking to some readers, I realized that they were under the impression that I disliked immigrants.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

My maiden name sounded distinctly "ethnic" and unusual. As a result, most people assumed that I was one of the many displaced people that arrived in the Cleveland area after WWII, including the recently arrived.

I, not being the brightest bulb in the pack, just thought they were interested in fascinating me when they eagerly initiated conversations. I didn't realize at the time they were hoping to talk to a fellow "newbie".

This resulted in my acquiring friendships with people from:

...just to name the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

With the exception of one person from Mexico, they all had something in common - they LEGALLY immigrated.

And that's the crux of my "problem" with immigration. I simply think it's unfair to keep allowing people to flow over the border without going through channels. Some want to think of themselves as compassionate people, who gladly accept the "poor, huddled masses, yearning to breathe free".

Yeah, right. By allowing those who ignore inconvenient laws to escape retribution, our country is denying law-abiding foreigners to claim their rightful spot in the queue. Folks, we can't accept everybody. The world holds over 6 billion people. At what point would you like us to stop taking everyone in?

When our economy breaks down under the strain of taking in under-educated, under-skilled workers? Many of them don't contribute to Social Security and taxes - they are paid under the table.

When our schools no longer have the ability to educate our children? It costs money to provide ESL services, folks.

When the illegals outnumber the natives? And vote against democracy? See last week's Blogburst articles for examples of THAT.

Any discussion of immigration has to begin with a recognition that we can't take in a flood of people without documentation, who started that journey by breaking the law, and who largely don't speak much English and have little education or skills. To do so jeopardizes the very structure of our society. We can bring in SOME, we can adjust to helping them assimilate, we just can't manage the process with this many at once.

Yeah, I know they just want to work. The question to ask is, would you give up YOUR job to help the immigrant? Would you take them into YOUR house? Would you work a second job to pay for educating their kids?

If not, then you haven't the right to expect the rest of the country to do what you won't do.

This letter, sent to Senator Frist from a retired border patrol agent, has more common sense than all the bull being spewed from the Senate, with the exception of a few sensible representatives. Anyway, this guy has it together and shows the rhetoric for what it is.

Dear Senator Frist:There is a huge amount of propaganda and myths circulating about "Illegal Aliens", particularly "Illegal Mexican, Salvadorian, Guatemalan and Honduran Aliens".

1. "Illegal Aliens" generally do NOT want citizenship. Americans are very vain thinking that everybody in the world wants to be a citizen. Mexicans, and other nationalities want to remain citizens of their home countries while obtaining the benefits offered by the United States such as employment, medical care, in-state tuition, government subsidized housing and free education for their offspring. Their main attraction is employment and their loyalty usually remains at home. They want benefits earned and subsidized by middle class Americans. What "Illegal Aliens" want are benefits of American residence without paying the price.

2. There are no jobs that Americans won't do. "Illegal Aliens" are doing jobs that Americans can't take and still support their families. "Illegal Aliens" take low wage jobs, live dozens in a single residence home, share expenses and send money to their home Country. There are no jobs that Americans won't do for a decent wage.

3. Every person who illegally entered this nation left a home. They are NOT homeless and they are NOT Americans. Some left jobs in their home countries. They come to send money to their real home as evidenced by the more than 20 billion dollars sent out of the country each year by "Illegal Aliens". These "Illegal aliens" knowingly and willfully entered this nation in violation of the law and therefore assumed the risk of detection and deportation. Those who brought their alien children assumed the responsibility and risk on behalf of their children.

4. "Illegal Aliens" are NOT critical to the economy. "Illegal Aliens" constitute less than 5% of the workforce. However, they reduce wages and benefits for lawful

5. This is NOT an immigrant nation. There are 280 million native born Americans. While it is true that this nation was settled and founded by immigrants (Legal Immigrants), it is also true that there is not a nation on this planet that was not settled by immigrants at one time or another.

6. The United States is welcoming to "Legal Immigrants. "Illegal Aliens" are NOT immigrants by definition. The government accepts more lawful immigrants every year than the rest of the world combined.

7. There is no such thing as the "Hispanic Vote". Hispanics are white, brown, black and every shade in between. Hispanics are Republicans, Democrats, Anarchists, Communists, Marxists and Independents. The so-called "Hispanic Vote" is a myth. Pandering to "Illegal Aliens" to get the Hispanic Vote is a dead end. Mexico is NOT a friend of the United States. Since 1848 Mexicans have resented the United States During World War I, Mexico allowed German spies to operate freely in Mexico to spy on the U.S. During World War II, Mexico allowed the Axis powers to spy on the U.S. from Mexico. During the Cold War, Mexico allowed spies hostile to the U.S.to operate freely. The attack on the Twin Towers in 2001 was cheered and applauded all across Mexico Today Mexican school children are taught that the U.S. stole CaliforniaArizonaNew Mexico and Texas. If you don't believe it, check out some Mexican textbooks written for their schoolchildren.

9. Although some "Illegal Aliens" enter this country for a better life, there are 6 billion people on this planet. At least 1 billion of those live on less than one dollar a day. If wanting a better life is a valid excuse to break the law and sneak into America then let's allow those one billion to come to America and we'll turn the USA into a Third World nation overnight. Besides, there are 280 million native born Americans who want a better life. I'll bet Bill Gates and Donald Trump want a better life. When will the USA lifeboat be full? Since when is wanting a better life a good reason to trash another nation?

10. There is a labor shortage in this country: This is a lie. There are hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of American housewives, senior citizens, students, unemployed and underemployed who would gladly take jobs at a decent wage.

11. It is racist to want secure borders: What is racist about wanting secure borders and a secure What is racist about not wanting people to sneak into America and steal benefits we have set aside for legal aliens, senior citizens, children and other legal residents? What is it about race that entitles people to violate our laws, steal identities, and take the American Dream without paying the price?

Allah or Jesus?

Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who explained each of their beliefs.

I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say. The Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam complete with a video. After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers.

When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Imam and asked: "Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the infidels of the world. And, that by killing an infidel, which is a command to all Muslims, they are assured of a place in heaven. If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?"

There was no disagreement with my statements andwithout hesitation, he replied, "Non-believers!"

I responded, "So, let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can go to Heaven. Is that correct?"

The ___expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of a little boy who had just gotten caught with his hand in the cookie jar. He sheepishly replied, "Yes."

I then stated, "Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine Pope John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Dr. Stanley ordering Protestants to do the same in order to go to Heaven!" The Imam was speechless. I continued, "I also have a problem with being your friend when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me. Let me ask you a question. Would you rather have your Allah who tells you to kill me in order to go to Heaven or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to Heaven and He wants you to be with me?"

You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung hishead in shame. Needless to say, the organizers and/or promoters of the "Diversification" training seminar were not happy with Rick's way of dealing with the Islamic Imam and exposing the truth about the Muslim's beliefs.

The August issue of National Geographic Aventure magazine deals with the damage to our wildlife areas due to rampant migration and drug trafficing.

I wrote my initials beside item one, which said that I understood that the area I wished to visit "contains the danger of property damage and permanent, painful, disabling, and disfiguring injury or death due to high explosive detonations from falling objects such as aircraft, aerial targets, live ammunition, missiles, bombs, etc."

That was only the first item I needed to initial. There were 11 more.

The Hold Harmless Agreement must be signed by visitors to the area because the
Prieta Cabeza National Wildlife refuge has become a battleground of dead bodies, abandoned cars, and occasional gunfights between Border Agents and drug runners.

Prieta Cabeza is the home to the endangered Sonoran Pronghorn Antelope. It is estimated there are 75 in all of Arizona. Roger Di Rosa, manager of the Cabeza statse, "We have some 700 species of flora and fauna out here," Di Rosa said. "It's the richest desert in the world."

In 2002 the traffic through the Cabeza just exploded, Di Rosa said. "And last spring, 'coyotes' [people who lead UDAs through the desert for a fee] were bringing groups as large as a hundred through here. If someone is weak or falters, they just leave them. So instead of working on habitat recovery, animal recovery, or maintaining the wilderness character of the refuge, we've become a de facto Border Patrol as well as a search and rescue group." Di Rosa said that they have five or six deaths in the refuge every year. "But more get through the Cabeza and die up north, in the Goldwater Range."

In addition to the UDAs, (Undocumented Aliens) the Cabeza is now a prime spot for drug runners. Those who walk marijuana across the border, called "backpackers," carry 40-pound (18-kilogram) loads, and they usually travel in groups of 5 to 15. The smuggling can be very sophisticated: There are often resupply stations set up in the desert, filled with gallon (4-quart) jugs of water and covered over in camouflage netting. Spotters, some equipped with night-vision goggles, sit on the mountaintops and radio down to the smugglers that all is clear.

Other dope runners load up stolen vehicles with drugs and drive, hell-bent, through the desert to a safe house or a drop in the U.S. "There've been exchanges of gunfire here," Di Rosa said. "Luckily, no one's been hurt, but these guys have fully automatic weapons. AK-47s, Uzis, you name it. A Border Patrol helicopter was fired on last summer."

The Growler Valley was all but ruined, a graveyard for cars abandoned and abused, a labyrinth of off-road tracks, with garbage and human waste strewed everywhere.

Wildfires In SoCal

The wildfires in Yucca Valley have made national news of late. Yesterday I could see the smoke from where we were nearly 60 miles south of the blaze. Yucca Valley is the home of the Desert Christ Park, of which I posted about back in March. Historic Pioneertown, Big Morongo Valley, and Joshua Tree Naional Monument are also nearby. So far, the fire is moving east away from populated areas and Joshua Tree, however, this could also be bad news if the fire reaches the resort town of Big Bear or the surrounding National Park.

The 8,200-acre Millard fire remained just 5% contained, with winds pushing it east, Miller said.

""The Mojave's unforgiving heat and winds, along with impenetrable terrain, allowed the Sawtooth blaze to chew through more than 53,000 acres of greasewood and Joshua trees, according to the latest figures, creating a wildfire that threatens portions of the San Bernardino Mountains.

Eleven people, including nine firefighters, have been treated for minor burns and smoke inhalation.

About 660 firefighters were fighting the Millard blaze in temperatures that are expected to again reach 100 degrees.

The outlook was optimistic for the mountain communities closest to the fires' northern perimeter.""

Is it so hard to imagine?

Rather that indulge into the imagination of terrorists, let's consider the reality of jihad. To accept Markos' argument, one who have to belive that Israel is the only reason for jihad, yet jihad is global. A Muslim conquest of Israel would embolden terrorists worldwide, resulting in even more bloodshed. To presume otherwise exposes the left as desperately anti-Semetic, or dimly aware of the violent nature of the religion of peace.

I am going to assume that most people can agree that America's population is found across a vast political spectrum. From libertarians and liberals to moderates and conservatives we find each other across a broad field on ideas and issues. Many times we can all agree that certain things are problems within society yet be on the opposite extremes on how to solve that problem. One of the problems of society that most people can agree on is that of crime. The solution to reducing this problem most likely is found somewhere in the middle and not the extremes.

One of the purposes of the Constitution is to ensure domestic tranquility. Due process, the Fifth Amendment right, is a procedural right, one that defines the methods that can properly be used to ensure domestic tranquility. Without both, there can be no liberty. Domestic tranquility can easily be achieved without respect for due process, as dictatorships throughout history have shown. It is also quite possible to have a society where due process is respected-even considered sacrosanct-and still lack for domestic tranquility. The latter predicament more closely resembles the situation in the United States today.Source

The ACLU in its extreme ideals of society unravels due process from the reasons it was created to serve. The ACLU maintains that it is their purpose to ensure due process and the police to tend to domestic tranquility. I agree that the roles should be separate. I think the opposite would be an invitation to disaster. The ACLU's sincerity in their statement might be more believable if, as we shall show, they were not so often in opposition of law enforcement. It is generally accepted that domestic tranquility is absolutely necessary to the process of liberty. What is often less understood is how the exclusive concern for due process can also be damaging to liberty.

I think we can all agree on how important domestic tranquility is to maintaining liberty. What good are all of our freedoms if we are afraid to practice them? The only liberties worth having are ones that we can enjoy without fear. This simply can't be done if a society is filled with crime and violence.

The ACLU do not share these moderate views on society. They have a much more extreme viewpoint.

"According to the ACLU," writes Jeffrey Leeds, "there is no right to live in a quiet or pleasant society, but there is a right to speak, to seek to persuade, to have unpopular or even stupid views. Moreover, there is no right even to live in a safe society. The ACLU will work to vindicate a convicted criminal's rights to due process, even if it means setting a killer free."Source

Leeds isn't exaggerating. One ACLU official Dorothy Ehrlich can be quoted as saying, "the citizens' need to be 'free from criminal activity'....is not, in the legal sense, a 'right' at all (and thus is nowhere mentioned in the Bill of Rights) but, rather, an essential social good, like fire prevention, or adequate medical care, or the prevention of famine." Source

Funny that an official from the ACLU is stating that if a right isn't mentioned in the Constitution then it isn't a right at all. After all, this is the organization that defends abortion on demand, and the sale of child porn. These are not mentioned in the Constitution either.

The ACLU's skewed views toward crime can also be seen in its approach toward crime victims. The ACLU has shown very little interest in the rights of crime victims. When it comes down to it, the rights of criminals seem to always override the rights of the victims. For example, the ACLU opposes the use of a crime victim impact statement in capital sentencing because it "unconstitutionally requires consideration of factors which have no bearing on the defendant's responsibility or guilt." Of course the courts have ruled otherwise.

While the ACLU says they have our liberty as its mission, its policies in the area of criminal justice have only aggravated and accelerated the already terrible problems of maintaining domestic tranquility. Their opposition to the death penalty doesn't bother me by itself. It is the ACLU general attitude toward criminal justice as a whole that I deem dangerous. Throughout its history it has fought many court battles to:

Eliminate all prison sentencing from criminal judicial procedure except in a few "extreme" cases of utter incorrigibility-and only then as the penalty of last resort.Source

Let me briefly interrupt my list for a little perspective on this particular policy.

In conjunction with their opposition to the death penalty in all cases this particular policy is quite disturbing to me. It would seem that the ACLU wants rehabilitation and probation to be the primary means of preventing crime in all but the most extreme cases.

"Deprivation of an individual's physical freedom is one of the most severe interferences with liberty that the state can impose. Moreover, imprisonment is harsh, frequently counterproductive, and costly." This explains why the ACLU holds that "a suspended sentence with probation should be the preferred sentence, to be chosen generally unless the circumstances plainly call for greater severity." The Union favors alternative sentencing and lists the reintegration of the offender into the community as "the most appropriate correctional approach." Here's the clincher: "probation should be authorized by the legislature in every case and exceptions to the principle are not favored." Prior to 1991, when this policy was revised, the Union said that only such serious crimes as "murder or treason" should qualify as exceptions. The explicit referencing of those two crimes was deleted because of the public embarrassment it caused the organization.Source

Let us continue with the list:

Disallow capital punishment in any and all situations as a violation of the constitution's "cruel and unusual punishment" clause;

Discredit deterrence as a basis for incarceration;

Oppose rehabilitative confinement;

Block all sentencing guidelines that seek restitution to the victims of criminal behavior;

Mandate suspended sentences with probation as the primary form of "treatment" for criminal offenders;

Restrict all court sentencing discretion through the legislative process or direct judicial intervention in trial proceedings-thus severely crippling the principle of trial by jury;

Eliminate all mandatory sentencing laws;

Facilitate mandatory early parole and release programs;

And, oppose new construction or expansion of jails, prisons, and detention centers. Source

In addition the ACLU is also involved in limiting the power of law enforcement to maintain domestic tranquility:

Severely restrict search and arrest procedures even when evidence of guilt is available;

Hinder protective or corrective police action at crime scenes;

Invalidate airport bomb detectors, drunk driving checkpoints, periodic or random drug screening, and other preventative security measures;

Prohibit the free exchange of criminal records between law enforcement agencies;

Limit even the most sound and non-prejudicial police interrogation and investigation techniques;

Institute national or regional bureaucratic control over law enforcement agencies-thus effectively, removing local accountability;

Severely restrict riot control, swat team, and antiterrorist activities and efforts;

Make most surveillance operations, stakeout procedures, and community crackdowns illegal;

Prohibit the eviction of drug dealers and other incorrigibles from public housing projects;

Deregulate and decriminalize all "victimless crimes"-such as prostitution, drug use and abuse, gambling, sodomy, or the production , exhibition, and sale of vile and obscene materials-despite the proven link between such vices and serious crime.Source

There is one recommendation that the ACLU makes on how to stem crime: strong gun control legislation. It adopted its first gun-control policy in the late sixties which was actually pretty reasonable. For the sake of brevity on such a broad topic I will not quote it. Suffice it to say that most of today's liberals would not agree with it.

However...

In 1971 the Union took the position that the ownership of guns, any guns, aside from guns owned by the militia, was not constitutionally protected.Source

The ACLU's policy towards the second amendment is:

"The ACLU agrees with the Supreme Court's long-standing interpretation of the Second Amendment [as set forth in the 1939 case, U.S. v. Miller] that the individual's right to bear arms applies only to the preservation or efficiency of a well-regulated militia. Except for lawful police and military purposes, the possession of weapons by individuals is not constitutionally protected. Therefore, there is no constitutional impediment to the regulation of firearms."

It is strange for the ACLU to use such a dated ruling as precedent, when many more recent cases have ruled otherwise.

The ACLU's approach to crime, its prevention, and punishment clearly are not in the mainstream opinion of most Americans. The organization has consistently been an adversary of law enforcement. The Union's perspective is almost entirely focused on the criminal which makes many people conclude that rather being a defender of civil liberties, the ACLU is actually the champion of criminal liberties.

Roger Baldwin once actually admitted that he could not in good conscience serve on a jury because he simply "would never take part in convicting anyone." When asked how society could possibly continue to exist without some sort of penal justice system, eh tersely snapped, "That's your problem."Source

The ACLU's pandering to criminals, lack of interest in true victims, and opposition to law enforcement are not solutions to society's burden with crime. I advise everyone to use common sense, and not to follow the extreme positions of the ACLU when it comes to preventing and punishing crime.

La Raza and Rove

I watched with horror on the news as Karl Rove toook the podium at a
La Raza meeting. He actually said he needed their help to defeat the
Congresss on immigration. He claims we Have to have a Guest Worker
program.

We have to Karl? The country will be crushed without it Mr. Rove? Sir,
I consider you a traitor at this point and time. La Raza is a racist
anti-American organization that believes in reconquista! That means
they want to take U.S. territory away from us, by attrition or force!
Why do people even talk to these people? La Raza actually means the race!

I am fed up with President Bush on the issue of illegal immigration,
he is officially my enemy now. The Senate "comprehensive" Bill will
destroy this country!

Since he signed the North
American Union agreement in 2005 that would change our southern
border to that of Mexicos border with Central America we should not be
surprised by this move, now should we.

To the first question, why would the Imams issue a fatwa prohibiting the telling of terrorist plots if Islam is a religion of peace? Shouldn't they encourage cooperation with authorities who just want to prevent mass murder? Meanwhile at Dhimmi Watch...

In many countries across Western Europe, Muslim immigrants tend to settle in major cities, with the native population retreating to minor cities or into the countryside. Previously, Europeans or non-Europeans could travel between countries and visit new cities, each with its own, distinctive character and peculiarities. Soon, you will travel from London to Paris, Amsterdam or Stockholm and find that you have left one city dominated by burkas and sharia to find……yet another city dominated by burkas and sharia. For some reason, this eradication of unique, urban cultures is to be celebrated as "cultural diversity."

Diversity is a one way street when applied to Islam.

"Asian youths," a British euphemism for Pakistanis and Muslims from South Asia, in parts of Oldham are trying to create no-go areas for white people. One of them told: "There are signs all around saying whites enter at your risk. It's a matter of revenge." However, it's not just the white natives that are targets of Muslim violence, but other non-Muslims, too. A report on Hindus being driven out of the English city of Bradford by young Muslims was described by some Hindus as "ethnic cleansing." Some of them want to leave the city to escape the "Talibanization of
Bradford."

It was "youths" who tried to burn down France in hopes of gaining an Islamic state.

...former Muslim Dr. Patrick Sookhdeo warned that British Muslims could soon form a state within the state. Dr Sookhdeo believed that "in a decade, you will see parts of English cities which are controlled by Muslim clerics and which follow, not the common law, but aspects of Muslim sharia law."

Oh well, that's the way the country crumbles...

In France, Muslims already have many smaller states within the state. Criminologist Lucienne Bui Trong wrote that: "From 106 hot points in 1991, we went to 818 sensitive areas in 1999." The term she used, "sensitive areas," was used to describe Muslim no-go zones where anything representing a Western institution (post office truck, firemen, even mail order delivery firms) was routinely ambushed with Molotov cocktails. The number was 818 in 2002, when the French government decided to stop collecting the statistics.

In the Netherlands, Muslims will soon make up the majority in all major cities. "Today, we have 1 million Muslims out of 16 million Dutch," according to Frits Bolkestein, Dutch politician. Muslims have the right to their own schools, so there is no teaching of evolution, gay teachers are not tolerated but anti-Semitism is." A researcher for the Netherlands Ministry for Immigration and Integration found that 40% of young Moroccan Muslims in the Netherlands rejected Western values and democracy. Six to seven percent were prepared to use force to "defend" Islam, and the majority were opposed to freedom of speech for offensive statements, particularly criticism of Islam.

America should watch closely the slow disinigration of Europe. The implosion of Western culture will only encourage the jihadist's in thier quest for a global Caliphate.

Syd Barrett Dead at 60

Indulge me an off topic post;

One of the most inventive and influentual musicians of the late 60's died recently of diabetes. I've always been a big fan of Syd's solo stuff as well as his work with the group he founded, Pink Floyd. Heaven is fortunate today, for now Syd plays for the Angels.

""There are many stories about Barrett's bizarre and intermittently psychotic behaviour - many of which are undoubtedly apocryphal, although some are known to be true. According to Roger Waters, Barrett came into what was to be their last practice session with a new song he had dubbed "Have You Got It, Yet?" The song seemed simple enough when he first presented it to his bandmates, but it soon became impossibly difficult to learn: as they were practicing it, Barrett kept changing the arrangement. He would then play it again, with the arbitrary changes, and sing "Have you got it yet?" After more than an hour of trying to "get it," they realised they never would.""

There has been much speculation concerning the psychological well-being of Syd Barrett. Many believe he suffered from schizophrenia, though he didn't totally fit the typical profile for that condition. Additionally, some have suggested that Barrett had traits associated with Asperger Syndrome, a condition within the autistic spectrum.

Barrett's use of recreational drugs, especially LSD, during the 1960s is well-documented. Some believe that Barrett's drug use helped trigger (or at the very least inflame) his mental illness. In an article published in 2006, Gilmour was quoted as saying: "In my opinion, his breakdown would have happened anyway. It was a deep-rooted thing. But I'll say the psychedelic experience might well have acted as a catalyst. Still, I just don't think he could deal with the vision of success and all the things that went with it."

There is also the possibility that the sudden death of his father (a respected pathologist) when he was 11 caused him considerable anguish and left emotional scars that probably sowed some of the seeds of his later malaise. The subject matter of a lot of his songs, the nursery rhymes and fairy tale fantasies, were reminiscent for him of a "happier" period of his childhood before his father's death.

We may never fully understand Syd, but his music is still there for us to enjoy.

Terrorists Bomb Train in India

As many as 70 to 80 people have been killed and scores wounded when blasts rocked a commuter trains in India's financial capital during the evening rush hour.

A seventh blast occurred at a subway in the Khar area, he said, adding that all the blasts occurred within 20 minutes of each other.

Television footage showed dazed commuters with blood dripping from gaping injuries being carried by fellow travellers to waiting ambulances near Mahim station. Others frantically tried to call their relatives on mobile telephones.

"People began jumping off our running train when a bomb went off and filled the carriage with smoke and fire," said a commuter with serious injuries to his left arm and shoulder at Mahim station.

Firemen scoured the wreckage of a train that was hit by a blast in Matunga rail station. Police said the blasts had occurred on first class carriages of the commuter trains.

The sprawling city of Mumbai(Formerly Bombay), which is noted for its extensive underworld, has seen several bombings in the past. It was rocked in 1993 by a series of blasts which killed some 250 people and injured over 1,000.

On March 9 two separate blasts rocked the holy Hindu city of Varanasi, leaving more than a dozen killed and scores injured.

Police have blamed Muslim underground figures or Kashmiri militants for most of the attacks.

This attack is much worse than the 7/7 London Bombings, but so far the coverage has been scarce. I first heard about it on the radio and was surprized to find it wasn't on Drudges site at all. I can only assume this is because it happened in India instead of North America or Europe. Yet, India has suffered mightily at the hands of jihad.

Muslims have a dim view of Hindus and Buddists. This story is imprtant to Americans because it shows the resolve of the muhajideen to continually strike civilian targets for the sake of Allah. Given the recent "sucess" of train bombings in London and Spain, America needs to adress this threat by stepping up
security. Although Trains in America are largely used to transport freight, a coordinated attack could cause a major disruption economicly. These freight routes are basicly unguarded.

Chechen warlord Shamil Basayev, who claimed responsibility for modern Russia's worst terrorist attacks, was killed Monday, Russia's top intelligence official said.

Federal Security Service head Nikolai Patrushev told President Vladimir Putin that Basayev had been killed overnight in Ingushetia — a republic bordering Chechnya that was plagued by sporadic spillover violence from the separatist region. This past weekend, the White House sent the Presidential advisor and Chief of Staff, Karl Rove, to participate in the National Council of The Race (La Raza) - the largest Hispanic entitlement advocacy group in the nation. In order to fully understand the influence of La Raza, it's important first to understand their agenda, and this Human Events exclusive by Rep. Charlie Norwood (R, GA) is as good a place to start as any:

Behind the respectable front of the National Council of La Raza lies the real agenda of the La Raza movement, the agenda that led to those thousands of illegal immigrants in the streets of American cities, waving Mexican flags, brazenly defying our laws, and demanding concessions.

Key among the secondary organizations is the radical racist group Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan, or Chicano Student Movement of Aztlan (MEChA), one of the most anti-American groups in the country, which has permeated U.S. campuses since the 1960s, and continues its push to carve a racist nation out of the American West.

Rep. Norwood goes into further detail about La Raza, MEChA, and the Spiritual Plan for Aztlan, which we've covered in the Blogburst previously, but the most chilling section is excerpted below:

"For La Raza todo. Fuera de La Raza nada."

That closing two-sentence motto is chilling to everyone who values equal rights for all. It says: "For The Race everything. Outside The Race, nothing."

If these morally sickening MEChA quotes were coming from some fringe website, Americans could at least console themselves that it was just a small group of nuts behind it. Nearly every racial and ethnic group has some shady characters and positions in its past and some unbalanced individuals today claiming racial superiority and demanding separatism. But this is coming straight from the official MEChA sites at Georgetown University, the University of Texas, UCLA, University of Michigan, University of Colorado, University of Oregon, and many other colleges and universities around the country.

MEChA was in fact reported to be one of the main organizers of those street demonstrations we witnessed over the past [months]. That helps explain why those hordes of illegal immigrants weren't asking for amnesty -- they were demanding an end to U.S. law, period. Unlike past waves of immigrants who sought to become responsible members of American society, these protesters reject American society altogether, because they have been taught that America rightfully belongs to them.

MEChA and the La Raza movement teach that Colorado, California, Arizona, Texas, Utah, New Mexico, Oregon and parts of Washington State make up an area known as "Aztlan" -- a fictional ancestral homeland of the Aztecs before Europeans arrived in North America. As such, it belongs to the followers of MEChA. These are all areas America should surrender to "La Raza" once enough immigrants, legal or illegal, enter to claim a majority, as in Los Angeles. The current borders of the United States will simply be extinguished.

This plan is what is referred to as the "Reconquista" or re-conquest, of the Western U.S.

But it won't end with territorial occupation and secession. The final plan for the La Raza movement includes the ethnic cleansing of Americans of European, African, and Asian descent out of "Aztlan."

As Miguel Perez of Cal State-Northridge's MEChA chapter has been quoted as saying: "The ultimate ideology is the liberation of Aztlan. Communism would be closest [to it]. Once Aztlan is established, ethnic cleansing would commence: Non-Chicanos would have to be expelled -- opposition groups would be quashed because you have to keep power."

Ethnic cleansing, espoused by one of the largest and most influential student groups supported by La Raza - the same La Raza that Bill Clinton and Karl Rove are dallying with. Lest you still think this is a "fringe" group, despite all the evidence to the contrary, you should know that they are implementing their plans, in the face of mainstream America's somnolent tolerance. For instance, Art Olivier is a Libertarian running for Governor in California, and recently reported the following:

"My campaign headquarters received a package in the mail today from an unknown sender, where the return address should be, was a sticker of the Mexican flag. Inside was a Mexican flag and three pages of propaganda. The first page said the whites will soon go back to Europe, the blacks must go back to Africa and scribbled on the bottom was 'and f*** Asians too. We will take our land back through RECONQUISTA!'

The next two pages are El Plan de Aztlan. It starts off 'be warned Gringos' and goes into how the La Raza de Bronze will drive out the exploiters and declares independence of their mestizo nation. Under their economy goals is 'Land and realty ownership will be acquired by the community for the people's welfare.'

This movement is without a doubt racist and communist. Is this the same La Raza that Bill Clinton & Karl Rove spoke at?"

On September 16th, the day of Mexican independence, La Raza de Bronze, and all its affiliates, plans to stage yet more Chicano walk-outs of all schools and universities, and hope to sustain it to force a complete revision of the educational system. Considering that their much-touted "Day Without Latinos" was a total bust, it's unlikely that they can sustain such an activity for any length of time - though we can hope.

Wake up, Americans. This problem is not losing momentum, nor going away. In fact, it is rapidly gaining in credence and legitimacy, thanks to the White House's apparent endorsement of their activities.

Does this pesky Reconquista problem only affect the Southwestern United States? No, of course not. Consider that the two largest engines driving the entire American economy are California and Texas. Consider further that there is an open empathy between Reconquistas and Islamists. Visit the Voice of Aztlan to see for yourself how they rejoice in American deaths at the hands of terrorists worldwide, since it furthers their own cause of re-conquest. You can bet that La Raza's seditious activities will impact your wallet at the very least, and your entire way of life. Stay awake.

Time's Cowboy Liberalism

First the media accuses Bush of unilateral “Cowboy Diplomacy”, and now Time is saying Bush is abandoning that policy. Yet neither are true. Bush is far from being the trigger-happy warmonger the press fear and there really hasn't been a major change in policy. The invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan were joined by the “Coalition of the Willing”, a total of fourtynine nations in all, more than we had in World War II. Last time I checked we were still occupying said countries, with no mushroom clouds in sight.

The cover of Time has a picture of Bush wearing a gigantic cowboy hat with only his legs showing beneath. The tone of the four page cover story is grim.

Time makes statements like this throughout the article, one would think that Bush had already brought all the troops home, of maybe some of them. The “shift” is never truely defined. What is unwittingly defined is the folly of much of the bash-Bush crowd in the media. I wonder what Zarqawi thinks of the “shift?”, oh... never mind.

They even get the word cowboy wrong. A cowboy is someone who herds and raises cattle. As far as I can tell, cowboys weren't involved in politics and weren't especially violent. Perhaps they have the sherrif's of the old west in mind, men of few words, and always carrying a gun. Men of determination and grit. Liberals don't want a sherrif or a cowboy, but a man of much talk and little action. A UN-happy appeaser who is more likely to weep than fight. You know, like Jimmy Carter.

Time can prove no shift, but they can pound the quagmire drum 'till doomsday while pretending to climb around inside the minds of Bush, and Rice.

“”Rice is a foreign policy realist, less inclined to the moralizing approach of the neoconservatives who dominated Bush's War Cabinet in the first term. Her push for pragmatism has rubbed off on hawks like Vice President Dick Cheney, the primary intellectual force behind Bush's post-9/11 policies.””

But what does that mean? Where's the “siesmic change”? Never mind we're back to the quagmire,

Gen Hoar forgot all about the 200 WMD's declassified last week and praticly parrot's the “Bush lied, people died” slogan, who needs Bagdad Bob with guys like this around? Iran earned it's regime change by snubbing 19 UN resolutions, deal with it.

Time did make some valid points.

“”elections are producing governments more hospitable to extremism, not less. Exhibit A was the election of Hamas, a group the U.S. and Europe classify as a terrorist organization””

This is certainly true in Palestine, though I would argue this was a case of more of the same. Arafat was a devout terrorist. Democracy is no cure for the violent jihad, anti-semetism and anti-Americanism so deeply ingrained the Muslim mind. The “Arab street” still thinks that Jews are running the world along with the US. Democracy hasn't stopped the suicide bombings and it probably never will.

But this doesn't make the entire Bush policy a failure that has been abandoned. The press has leaned on Bush throughout the war, no doubt to the glee of our enemies, and that critisism from the left has dragged on his popularity. Time and it's cohorts can take much of the credit for this and that's what this article is really about, Not so much the failure of Bush, but a victory for the left. The fact that these two outcomes dovetail into a leftist media during wartime illustrates how far the MSM has sunk.

Police believe 13 shootings since May, including two during the weekend that wounded two people, are connected, possibly making it the third series of shooting attacks in the city over the past year.

The most recent shootings follow 11 others that began on May 2, Sgt. Andy Hill said.

Detectives are not positive they all are linked but evidence and circumstances lead them to believe they are. The 13 shootings happened late in the evening or early in the morning, and most involved people walking or riding bicycles.

Early Saturday, a woman was shot in the head as she was walking. About 20 minutes later a man was shot in the back.

A task force of detectives already was trying to track down a serial killer they believe is responsible for five killings and a series of rapes and assaults that began in August. They're also investigating a series of at least 25 random shootings of animals and people in which several people have died since May 2005.

There's nothing to link the recent string of cases to the earlier serial crimes, Hill said.

Man allowed to board aircraft appeared to have bomb components

Houston police and the federal Transportation Security Administration disagree over who is responsible for allowing a man with what appeared to be bomb components board an aircraft at Hobby Airport last week.

Although the FBI eventually cleared the man of wrongdoing, police officials have transferred the officer involved and are investigating the incident while insisting that the TSA, not police, has the authority to keep a suspicious person from boarding a flight.

"Our job is not to be the gatekeepers," police Capt. Dwayne Ready said. "That burden falls squarely on the airline and TSA to make that final decision.

A search of the man's baggage revealed a clock with a 9-volt battery taped to it and a copy of the Quran, the report said. A screener examined the man's shoes and determined that the "entire soles of both shoes were gutted out."

No explosive material was detected, the report states. A police officer was summoned and questioned the man, examined his identification, shoes and the clock, then cleared him for travel, according to the report. read it all

Joking Muslim cleric mocks victims of London blasts

...and you though Imams had no sense of humor, pffft!

A SPEECH by an extremist Muslim cleric praising the London bombers and mocking victims of suicide attacks has been broadcast on the internet to coincide with the anniversary of the July 7 attacks.

The audience laughs as Omar Brooks, ( No relation to Mel ) a British Muslim convert who also uses the name Abu Izzadeen, makes fun of non-Muslims as “animals” and “cowards”.

BWHAHAHAHA!!!! Good one!

Brooks — who has previously described the London bombers as “completely praiseworthy” — identifies with the views of Mohammad Sidique Khan, the ringleader of the London attacks.

He contrasts the supposed bravery of Khan’s suicide to the “kuffar” (non-Muslims) who are characterised as debauched binge-drinkers who vomit and urinate in the street.

Yeah, much worse that suicide bombing, that's for sure.

The speech is peppered with jokes that bring laughter from his audience at the Small Heath youth and community centre in Birmingham, where it was filmed last Sunday.

At one point he announces dramatically that the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center “changed many people’s lives”. After a pause, he brings the house down by adding: “Especially those inside.”

I have a better one, Islam is a Religion of Peace, HAHAHAHAH!!!!

For the first time, a former Orange County, Calif. teenage rock music fan has revealed his role as a top al Qaeda leader.

Adam Gadahn, who disappeared from California seven years ago, appeared unmasked on an al Qaeda tape made public on the internet today.

As previously reported by ABC News, the FBI had concluded that the masked man was Gadahn based on voice analysis of previous al Qaeda tapes. On today's tape, Gadahn is bearded, wearing a turban.

He denounces U.S. soldiers in Iraq and their alleged murder and rapes of Iraqi citizens.

The "Ted Turner Approach" to North Korea has led us to this point. Diplomacy will always fail with irrational despots like Kim. Kim will continue to ratchet up his military pyrotechnics until his missiles are capable of reaching the US with regularity. When (if) that happens, negotiations will be tilted so heavily in Kim's favor that nothing could stop him from taking South Korea or even Japan.

Kim needs to be deterred, and as soon as possible.

A North Korean missile launched on Wednesday was aimed at an area of the ocean close to Hawaii, a Japanese newspaper reported on Friday.

Experts estimated the Taepodong-2 ballistic missile to have a range of up to 6,000 km, putting Alaska within its reach. Wednesday's launch apparently failed shortly after take-off and the missile landed in the sea between the Korean peninsula and Japan, a few hundred kilometres from the launch pad.

But data from U.S. and Japanese Aegis radar-equipped destroyers and surveillance aircraft on the missile's angle of take-off and altitude indicated that it was heading for waters near Hawaii, the Sankei Shimbun reported, citing multiple sources in the United States and Japan.

North Korea may have targeted Hawaii to show the United States that it was capable of landing a missile there, or because it is home to the headquarters of the U.S. Pacific fleet, the paper said.

An alternative explanation might be that a missile could accidentally hit land if fired towards Alaska, the report said.

A separate report in the Mainichi Shimbun daily cited U.S. and Japanese government officials as saying a piece of the Taepodong-2 missile fell off immediately after take-off, strengthening the view that the launch was a failure.

Today’s Sun reports that Choudary, a former lawyer, has been saying that “oppressed” Muslims had a right to defend themselves using “whatever means”.

38-year old Choudary gave a press conference from his base in Walthamstow, East London yesterday, less than 24 hours after he was given a trivial fine for illegally organising the February protest against the Danish cartoons. He said he would never inform of any suicide mission to the police, stating: “No I wouldn’t. I don’t think Muslims can co-operate with police.”

He then threatened that a civil war between Britains Muslims and non-Muslims was looming: “We are reaching a situation where the Muslim community is increasingly under siege. I’m afraid of a Bosnia or Kosovo-style reality here in Great Britain.”

Choudary was formerly the deputy leader of the group Al Muhajiroun. When that was disbanded, he went on to help set up Al Ghurabaa and its sister group, the Saviour Sect, now called the Saved Sect. An insight into their virulent ideology can be found on

Apparently, the more terrorist acts commited by Muslims, the more they feel themselves to be "under seige".

So naturally, Choundry rachets up the terrorist (and in this case, traitorist) rhetoric and shows no remorse for the victims of 7/7 or 9/11.

In a sane world, seditious hatemongers like Choundry would be locked up for treason, that's right, treason! To call for the violent overthrow of your own government is treason. It's high time the West re-learn the meaning of this crime and enforce it in cases like this.

Until then, Western nations can expect a lot more of this from the "Religion of Peace".

7/7, The London Bombings

This time last year I was visiting the family of a friend of my daughter's. Her best friend from school had moved to Texas that Summer and I promised we would visit. Her friend's Mom (Cindy) and I had become pretty good friends as well and she invited us to stay at thier place for a few days. The girls were thrilled to be together again and I was getting a cheap vacation to boot. Cindy was born in America, but married an Englishman and had lived there for about 10 years. Cindy and her 2 children all have English accents.

That morning of July 7th, and I had been reading Robert Spencer's Onward Muslim Soldiers and basicly ignoring the tube. But then, regular programming had been interupted. London had suffered a series of terrorist attacks.

I had been in the livingroom alone, but now it was crowded with stunned faces. The joyful summer mood had turned distictively dour. As the report came in I felt esecially bad for our hosts, who had such personal ties to London. Cindy called a few friends to make sure everyone "back home" was alright.

As I watched the reports come in, the shock turned to anger. How many more innocents will die in the name of Allah? How many more attacks before we understand exactly what we're up against?

Americans Respect the Troops

An annual Gallup poll last month showed that the American
military was the most respected institution in the country. However,
the approval rating for the military has fluctuated since September 11,
2001.

By comparison, at the bottom of the list we have HMOs, Congress and big
business with 15-20 percent. Journalists did a little better, but not
much. Just behind the military were police, with 58 percent, and
churches with 52 percent. In a separate poll, about who would be more likely
to tell the truth, about 60 percent more people would pick military
officers over journalists (who, in turn, were considered more trustworthy
than members of Congress and lawyers).

It's not surprising that respect and confidence in the troops went up
after 911, or that it peaked in 2003, after a month of reports from
journalists embedded with the troops. No surprise, either, that the numbers
declined after that, as the media turned against the Iraq operation
and, eventually, the troops themselves. What kept the military poll
numbers up was the increasing amount of reporting by the troops themselves.
Blogs, email and occasional appearances on television kept reminding
people that the people in uniform were not quite the out-of-control thugs
the media was increasingly portraying them as.

While chatting online, the wives of the Toronto Terrorists remove the veil of Taqiyaa.

The tightly knit group of women who chatted with each other includes Mariya (the wife of alleged leader Fahim Ahmad), Nada (the wife of Mr. Amara, the alleged right-hand man) Nada's sister Rana (wife of suspect Ahmad Ghany), as well as Cheryfa MacAulay Jamal (the Muslim convert from Cape Breton, N.S. who married the oldest suspect, 43-year-old Qayyum Abdul Jamal). The women's husbands are part of a core group of seven charged with the most severe crimes -- plotting to detonate truck bombs against the Toronto Stock Exchange, a Canadian Forces target, and the Toronto offices of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service.

"And i pray to Allah my sons follow his footsteps Ameeen [Amen]," she writes at the on-line forum she founded for Muslim teens in Mississauga's Meadowvale area. Her avatar is a picture of the Koran and a rifle.

There is nothing casual about Ms. Farooq's interpretation of Islam. She reiterates the belief that jihad is the "sixth pillar" of the religion, and her on-line postings are decidedly interested in the violent kind.

Ms. Farooq's hatred for the country is palpable. She hardly ever calls Canada by its name, rather repeatedly referring to it as "this filthy country." It's a sentiment shared by many of her friends, one of whom states that the laws of the country are irrelevant because they are not the laws of God.

In late April of 2004, a poster asks the forum members to share their impressions of what makes Canada unique. Nada's answer is straightforward.

"Who cares? We hate Canada."

Ms. Jamal's zealousness for homegrown Muslim causes is matched only by her rejection of just about everything Canadian. "Are you accepting a system that separates religion and state?" she asks. "Are you gonna give your pledge of allegiance to a party that puts secular laws above the laws of Allah? Are you gonna worship that which they worship? Are you going to throw away the most important thing that makes you a muslim?"

Israel Commemorates 30th Anniversary of Entebbe Rescue

Thirty years ago today, while the U.S. was celebrating its bicentennial, Israel was carrying out a daring trans-continental rescue of 100 hostages held in Entebbe, Uganda.
The Knesset will mark the day this afternoon with a special session commemorating the heroic rescue. Among the participants at the Knesset ceremony will be family members of the four Israelis who died in the operation, many of the hostages themselves and their family members, former IDF Chief of Staff Dan Shomron, who oversaw the operation, as well as officers and soldiers who took part in the rescue.

Originally called Operation Thunderbolt by its planners, the mission was renamed Operation Yonatan in memory of its commander Yonatan Netanyahu (former Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's brother), whose life was one of the prices Israel paid.

The incident began on June 27, 1976, when an Air France jet on its way from Tel Aviv to Paris was hijacked by a group of German and Palestinian terrorists, who embarked in Athens. They first flew the plane to Libya, and then to Entebbe, the capital of Uganda, 4,000 kilometers (2,500 miles) from Israel. Read more

At the Entebbe airfield, the hijackers separated the 100 Jewish passengers from the 150 non-Jewish ones, freeing the latter - though the plane's pilot Michel Bacos refused to abandon the Jewish passengers. (He was later temporarily suspended by Air France for his troubles.)

Uganda was ruled at the time by dictator Idi Amin, who had had some ties with Israel years before. Israeli officials made contact with Amin, who had been helped by Israel in the past but who was now cooperating with the hijackers. At the same time, the Israelis were making very detailed plans for the bold rescue plan, based on knowledge of the airport in which the hostages were being held - because Israel had helped build it.

After receiving the final go-ahead from then-Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin, four large cargo planes carrying over 100 Israeli commandos took off for Entebbe. They landed under the cover of darkness, rolled out a black Mercedes of the type used by dictator Amin, and proceeded to the airport lounge and killed the hijackers with grenades and gunfire. One hostage was killed when he jumped up to greet the rescuers, and another hostage - Dora Bloch, 75, who had been taken to a Uganda hospital when she choked on food - was later murdered at Amin's behest.

The hostages and army forces were greeted joyfully by thousands of Israelis upon their return.

Treason You Can Get Away With

Because the war on terror is fought in a peacetime atmosphere, treason can be presented as dissent, and you can get away with it. Case in point is the energetic pursuit, and publication, of U.S. intelligence gathering techniques, by the American media. The latest one was the reporting of how the U.S. has been analyzing international bank wire transfers. This apparently led to the capture of several prominent terrorists, especially in Southeast Asia. But to opponents of the war, this is an assault on civil liberties, attacks they consider more dangerous than potential terrorist violence. Earlier scoops revealed to terrorists how the traffic analysis was being used to track terrorist activity.

Again, the threat to civil liberties, relative to the lack of a real terrorist threat, was used to justify what was basically treason in time of war. But the war on terror is not a normal war. There's no country to declare war on, so there's no formal declaration of war. Every war has it's dissenters and opposition politicians criticizing how the war is fought. The unique nature of the war on terror, with much of the action being on the domestic front, has us searching for terrorists among our own population. This leads to opposition groups depicting success against the terrorists (no attacks) as the absence of a real threat. This leads to implications that the government is using the war on terror to establish government intelligence gathering programs that threaten civil liberties.

The absurdity of this is that the intelligence programs that have been revealed involve techniques that have been used before to successfully track down criminals, and have not led to compromising anyone's civil liberties. Indeed, if any government program was misused to persecute an American, the uproar and blowback would be monumental. There are some examples of that, but far fewer of government exploitation of intelligence programs. Criminals benefit far more than citizens suffer. Moreover, many of these techniques were used successfully by the West German government in the 1970s, to deal with an outburst of domestic terrorism. Thus the track record has been that these techniques work, and don't do any damage to civil liberties. Ironically, the German government then shut down the program in the late 1970s, after it had done its job. The reason given was that such powerful tools posed a threat to German liberties. In actuality, there were apparently plenty of politicians worried about their illegal activities being exposed (and many of them have since come to the surface, including links with the secret police in East Germany.) There may be similar fears in the United States, for it is known that many politicians and activists opposed to the war have crossed the line. Some have been caught and punished, and many others probably fear the same fate.

Trivializing the enemy is another dangerous journalistic tactic. Many of the Islamic terrorists are basically amateurs. The bunch rounded up in Miami recently are starting to be portrayed as victims, rather than threats. However, if one or two FBI supervisors had zigged instead of zagged back in early 2001, and the 19 or 20 911 terrorists would have been rounded up. It would have been very easy for enterprising journalists to portray this as an overreaction by the FBI. After all, who could take seriously this plan to simultaneously hijack four aircraft and crash them into buildings? It was all too absurd, and another example of the excessive police power of the government.

Treason aside, these tactics of destruction by revelation, and trivializing the threat, do provide substantial benefits to the enemy. While the most professional and experienced terrorists were always aware of things like traffic analysis and CIA access to international wire transfer data, most al Qaeda activists do not. But now they do, and the implications have been spelled out for them, in great deal, by helpful journalists. This influences future reporting, which will tend to avoid connecting the dots between these revelations and the success of some future terror attack. A sort of unconscious professional courtesy. There is one new element; net based journalists. That includes widely read bloggers and reports like this. But that only keeps the crimes visible, it doesn't do much to punish the guilty, or stop the assistance these traitors are giving to those who would kill them, and us.

These traitors will continue to get away with it. Unless their activities are shown to assist terrorists in a particularly direct and obvious way, scary stories about potential perils will continue to protect those attacking the counter-terrorism effort. By blurring the line between legitimate dissent and active assistance to the enemy, political opportunism has sunk to new lows.

Note to liberals, be careful what you wish for.

Kim Has His Own Fireworks

Diplomacy continues it's predictable course of appeasement and failure.

Via Drudge;

North Korea launched a long-range Taepodong-2 missile and two small Scud-type missiles within a two-hour period, but the long-range missile appears to have failed, a diplomatic source told Reuters on Tuesday.

CNN also reported that a Taepodong had been fired.

The Taepodong 2 missile, which had been under intense scrutiny by the United States and other western powers, appeared to have failed in flight, the diplomatic source said.

It's clear what Kim's intentions are and we negotiate with him at our peril. If a three stage missle becomes workable for N Korea, it would be capable of reaching Chicago. If Kim is allowed to continue testing, it's only a matter of time before the US and it's allies are forced to negotiate from a point of weakness. Kim is already using it's missles as a bargaining chip.

""North Korea would respond to a pre-emptive U.S. military attack with an "annihilating strike and a nuclear war," the state-run media said Monday, heightening anti-U.S. rhetoric amid close scrutiny of its missile program."

America has nothing to gain and much to lose by subitting to Kim's desires to become a Global military threat.

Soledad Cross Gets More Time

Stop The ACLU tells us the Mt Soledad Memorial Cross has been given a stay.

The Supreme Court intervened Monday to save a large cross on city property in southern California.

A lower court judge had ordered the city of San Diego to remove the cross or be fined $5,000 a day.

Justice Anthony Kennedy, acting for the high court, issued a stay while supporters of the cross continue their legal fight.

Lawyers for San Diegans for the Mt. Soledad National War Memorial said in an appeal that they wanted to avoid the "destruction of this national treasure." And attorneys for the city said the cross was part of a broader memorial that was important to the community.

The 29-foot cross, on San Diego property, sits atop Mount Soledad. A judge declared it was an unconstitutional endorsement of religion.

The cross, which has been in place for decades, was contested by Philip Paulson, a Vietnam veteran and atheist.

Three years ago, the Supreme Court had refused to get involved in the long-running dispute between Paulson and the city.

Kennedy granted the stay to the city and the cross' supporters without comment pending a further order from him or the entire court.

The cross was dedicated in 1954 as a memorial to Korean War veterans, and a private association maintains a veterans memorial on the land surrounding it.

Mayor Jerry Sanders has argued that the cross, sitting atop Mt. Soledad in La Jolla, is an integral part of the memorial and deserves the same exemptions to government-maintained religious symbols as those granted to other war monuments.

In May, U.S. District Court Judge Gordon Thompson, Jr., ordered the city to take down the 29-foot cross before Aug. 2 or pay daily fines of $5,000.

Thompson's ruling, which he described as "long overdue," found the cross to be an unconstitutional display of government preference of one religion over another.

Last year, San Diego voters overwhelmingly approved a ballot proposition to transfer the land beneath the cross to the federal government. The measure was designed to absolve the city of responsibility for the cross under the existing lawsuit. But a California Superior Court judge found the proposition to be unconstitutional.

Last year, I experienced a Fourth of July that I never want to repeat. I wrote about it, but at the time, I don't think my experience registered on anyone's radar. Here's part of the description as I posted it last year:

...all day, I was looking forward to the famous Freedom Over Texas Celebration in Houston - one of the top 10 patriotic shows and fireworks displays in the country. I was determined to brave the crowds (which my husband and I typically loathe) with kiddos in tow, in order to enjoy the culminating holiday of our nation’s heritage. We drove an hour to downtown Houston, spent 20 minutes looking for parking, and finally stepped into the crowds to move toward the center of the Celebration.

Here is what I saw as I crossed Allen Parkway near Buffalo Bayou:

There were NO 4th of July decorations - NONE. No red, white, and blue - anywhere.

There were no American flags.

No one was dressed in red, white, and blue except me and my kids.

There were no patriotic songs.

There was no indication of patriotic pride or nationalism in any way…

No one - not one person around us - spoke English.

The music that was blasting through the loudspeakers was Mexican mariachi or some such.

Home made pig skins were sold in baggies - and screeching kids in dirty clothes were hawking water bottles out of grubby coolers.

I saw more green Mexican flags and paraphanalia than anything American-themed.

What is this - Houston, Mexico?! Had I mistakenly ended up in some grungy street carnival in Little Mexico, instead of one of the “Top 10 Patriotic Celebrations in the Country”?! I knew that there was supposed to be military equipment displays somewhere in the center (which I was making a bee-line for), along with stages for Clint Black and LeAnn Rimes. I’m not a country-western afficionado, but I knew that I could most likely expect a moving patriotic song or two. As the crowds surged toward the Freedom Celebration, my family and I lagged more and more behind. Hot, sweaty, and rudely jostled in the rowdy crowd - I grew more and more angry. Looking around, I realized that no one seemed to be there to celebrate the 4th of July. It seemed like any generic public fiesta - just one more reason to party. I stopped walking and finally acknowledged the fact that whatever ‘celebracion’ was going on around us had nothing to do with America. I was far beyond disappointed…I was furious.

We left.

I took a lot of heat in the comments from people who objected to the fact that I objected to a Mexican-themed Fourth of July. But others wrote in comments and via email that they had seen and experienced a similar hi-jacking of our national holiday; they seemed more bewildered than furious. "How did this happen? When did this happen?!" There was no real public indignation.

Fast forward to 2006. This year, the in-your-face waving of the Mexican flag will have much more significance considering the politically-charged events of the past year. In a year that has seen illegal aliens gleefully desecrate Old Glory, and raise the Mexican flag over our own, such an offensive display is guaranteed to raise the ire of red-blooded Americans. After a year's worth of heavy-handed demands for the rights and privileges of full citizenship, illegal aliens and AINOs (Americans In Name Only) may feel emboldened to wave the Mexican flag during our Independence Day celebrations - just as they did last year with no public outcry.

I, for one, won't leave a 4th of July celebration like I did last year - furious but silent. I will say something to anyone who flaunts a foreign flag during our Independence Day. I want them to know it's inappropriate, deliberately incendiary, and offensive to people who deeply love this country and our valiant flag. This year, I have a feeling I won't be standing alone.

DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN IN YOUR TOWN!

Carter Wants Transparency

Jimmy Carter, easily the worst President in recent history, continues to abuse his unpresidented attacks on current administrations. To make matters worse, the peanut farmer is questioning his own Commander in Chief during wartime. Carter, in his WaPo editorial, says that the US ""created 81 percent more "secrets" in 2005 than in 2000"".

Jimmy, if these are "secrets", then how do you know how many of them there are? Jimmy sites OpenTheGovernment.org as his only source and only hints at the nature of the inquisitions. At no time would Jimmy mention we are at war, he does however, accuse the US of being more secretive than developing nations.

""Nearly 70 countries have passed legislation to ensure the right to request and receive public documents, the vast majority in the past decade and many in middle- and low-income nations. While the United States retreats, the international trend toward transparency grows, with laws often more comprehensive and effective than our own.""

By all means Mr Carter, feel free to immigrate to a more transparent country , we don't want to upset you. One would think that the man who ordered a secret rescue mission to save the hostages during the Iranian hostage crisis would understand the need for secrets during wartime. But I suppose a wiser Jimmy would support the troops while in harm's way and keep his single term, misery index Presidency a tight secret.

You would think the Southern California press would be all over this story. Where's Foxnews, Bill O'Reilly ? Don't they love these crime stories? But this isn't a cute blonde girl or an adorable middle class couple gone horribly wrong, it's Islamic slavery right here on American soil. Best to ignore it.

Slavery is deeply ingrained in Islam, Mohammed himself was a slaveholder.

An Egyptian former couple have pleaded guilty to enslaving a 10-year-old girl in their southern California home. The girl, who was brought to the US from Egypt, was forced to work 16-hour days and was not allowed to leave the house during her 20-month ordeal.

Abdel Nasser Eid Youssef Ibrahim, 45, and his ex-wife, Amal Ahmed Ewis-abd Motelib, 43, agreed to plead guilty to four federal charges.

They face jail terms of three years when they are sentenced in October.
She was forced to clean their home, take care of their five children, prepare food and do the laundry, for no pay. She lived in squalor in the garage and was told that if she left the house in Irvine, southern California, she might be arrested.

The girl was discovered by immigration officials in April 2002 after an anonymous tip-off. The girl, whose name was not released, was brought to the US by the couple in August 2000 when she was 10.

The Orange County Register has some background...

In 1999, the girl's older sister was working for Ibrahim and Motelib. The pair told the girl's parents that they caught the sister stealing and threatened to report her unless her younger sister worked for them. So the parents decided to allow their younger daughter to work as a domestic servant. The parents agreed to pay 100 Egyptian pounds – about $30 – monthly to Ibrahim and Motelib for 10 years. Once here, the girl's passport was taken. She didn't receive any money and had to work as a nanny and housekeeper.

Apparently, this is somewhat common.

The girl is one of 53 human-trafficking victims in Orange County, according to Bob Jones, with St. Anselm's Cross-Cultural Community Center, a member of the Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force. Most of the female victims who can apply for green cards choose to stay in this country. The girl has decided to stay. She is a ward of Orange County Superior Court and is living in foster care locally. She is taking summer school classes and aspires to attend college, Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert Keenan said. She has not been back to Egypt and doesn't want to return, he added.

Loose Immigration laws enable this behavior, and political correctness demands a blind eye it's inevitable results.

The New Cartoon Jihad

We all know that cartoonists can get into big trouble for drawing the Prophet Muhammad, but cartoonists around the world regularly get in big trouble for drawing all kinds of things. One cartoonist in Iran is in prison for drawing a cockroach.

Mana Neyestani drew a child talking to a cockroach; in the cartoon, a boy says the word "cockroach" in different ways, and the cockroach replies, "What?" in the Azeri language of Northern Iran. Mana has a lot of Azeri friends and colleagues, a minority group that constitutes about 25 percent of Iran's population and which is often the butt of local ethnic jokes.

It would seem that the Azeris have thin skins; when they saw Mana's cartoon, they rioted. Thousands of Azeris filled the streets to protest the cartoon; they set fire to a newspaper office then pelted government buildings and police with stones, injuring several policemen. Dozens of rioters were arrested. Mana and his editor were abruptly fired from their jobs at "Iran Friday," the weekend edition of one of Iran's largest newspapers, which ran a front-page apology for three days following the riots.

Iranian officials blamed America and Israel for the riots fueled by the cartoon, but threw Mana and his editor into Tehran's notorious Evin Prison where they face trial on charges of "insulting the Azeri minority." Mana's cockroach cartoon was published on May 12; the newspaper was closed down on May 23 and is awaiting a court decision on whether it may resume operations.

You've probably heard, the new
Superman movie has done away with the coolest slogan in comic book history,"Truth, Justice and the American Way". Even worse, the "American Way" has been replaced with "All That Stuff". All that stuff? The new credo is ambiguious to the point of insulting. Since when does Superman stand for stuff?One could see why a movie may want to avoid the politcal controversy of the War, but what could possibly be harmful with "the American Way"? Is patriotism really so toxic to the lefties in Hollywood that they can't bring themselves to admit that truth and Justice are the American way?

Lt. Tom Cotton writes this morning from Baghdad with a word for the New York Times:

Dear Messrs. Keller, Lichtblau & Risen:

Congratulations on disclosing our government's highly classified
anti-terrorist-financing program (June 23). I apologize for not writing
sooner. But I am a lieutenant in the United States Army and I spent the
last four days patrolling one of the more dangerous areas in Iraq. (Alas,
operational security and common sense prevent me from even revealing this
unclassified location in a private medium like email.)

Unfortunately, as I supervised my soldiers late one night, I heard a booming
explosion several miles away. I learned a few hours later that a powerful
roadside bomb killed one soldier and severely injured another from my
130-man company. I deeply hope that we can find and kill or capture the
terrorists responsible for that bomb. But, of course, these terrorists do
not spring from the soil like Plato's guardians. No, they require financing
to obtain mortars and artillery shells, priming explosives, wiring and
circuitry, not to mention for training and payments to locals willing to
emplace bombs in exchange for a few months' salary. As your story states,
the program was legal, briefed to Congress, supported in the government and
financial industry, and very successful.

Not anymore. You may think you have done a public service, but you have
gravely endangered the lives of my soldiers and all other soldiers and
innocent Iraqis here. Next time I hear that familiar explosion -- or next
time I feel it -- I will wonder whether we could have stopped that bomb had
you not instructed terrorists how to evade our financial surveillance.

And, by the way, having graduated from Harvard Law and practiced with a
federal appellate judge and two Washington law firms before becoming an
infantry officer, I am well-versed in the espionage laws relevant to this
story and others -- laws you have plainly violated. I hope that my
colleagues at the Department of Justice match the courage of my soldiers
here and prosecute you and your newspaper to the fullest extent of the law.
By the time we return home, maybe you will be in your rightful place: not
at the Pulitzer announcements, but behind bars.

Putin Goes After Terrorists

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday ordered Russia’s special services to hunt down and “destroy” the killers of four Russian diplomats in Iraq, the Kremlin said.

Nikolai Patrushev, the head of the Federal Security Service — the main successor to the Soviet KGB — later said that everything would be done to ensure that the killers “do not escape from responsibility,” the Interfax news agency reported.

“The president has ordered the special forces to take all necessary measures to find and destroy the criminals who killed Russian diplomats in Iraq,” the Kremlin press service said in a brief statement.

Murtha Correction

Two newspapers, the Sun Sentinal and the AZ Star have issued a Correction that the Murtha quote was taken out of context.

"" A South Florida Sun-Sentinel article on A12 Sunday misinterpreted a comment from U.S. Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa., at a town-hall meeting in North Miami.
In his speech, Murtha cited a recent poll, by the Pew Global Attitudes Project, that indicates a greater percentage of people in 10 of 14 foreign countries consider the U.S. presence in Iraq a greater danger to world peace than any threats posed by Iran or North Korea.
Murtha said U.S. credibility was suffering because of continued U.S. military presence in Iraq and the perception that the United States is an occupying force. ""

Of course I still disagree with Murtha's continual anti-American rant, but accuracy is important if we are to be taken seroiusly. The above correction just proves that Murtha is more concerned with the opinions of other nations than the safety of the troops while they defend freedom. America is the bad guy, other countries say so, we should surrender.
